DICE Is ‘Done With Battlefield 3,’ New Community Manager Wanted for Battlefield 4

MP1st - With Battlefield 3′s fifth and final expansion, End Game, out the door and in the wild, is development on Battlefield 3 officially over? Is Battlefield 4 right around the corner?

It had a great run. A year 18 months of post-launch content and updates that were all as solid as can be. I can't recall any games (other than Valve games) that received such a large amount of post-launch attention.

Game was awesome to bad I didn't get a lot of play time in. Single player was decent but the qte moves drove me nutz.

NOPE!!!!

I completely stop playing when Close Quarter Combat was released but picked it back up when Armored Kill came out but over all I've spent more time on Arma 2 than BF3.

Now even time spent playing Planetside 2 is quickly catching and surpassing BF3!!!

BF3 is a very good game with good DLC but something about it just didn't feel right as with the other dedicated PC Games I play!!!

I recommend BF3 if you don't already have it!!

I agree 100% I don't know what it is really, but it makes me lose interest. Its not even Origin as an issue. Its just the game doesn't feel right. Don't know why. Its great in spurts, but I can't play it everyday and enjoy it like the older BF games. :P

I played the CRAP outta Battlefield 2, I'm talking non stop but Battlefield 3 just didn't have that certain thing to it!

I lost interest when the put the pay to unlock everything option in. Every jackass out there with a low level had everything I worked my butt off to unlock and then some and gets to woop my butt with all the better stuff he has, why you ask, not because he earned it, but because he paid an extra 50 bucks or whatever it was.

Pay to win games piss me off. And that sucks because i did really like BF3 but all the pay to unlock BS really put a sour taste in my mouth.

Karkland, Aftermath, End Game, and Armored Kill were definitely good add ons. You easily get your moneys worth out of those and are probably better than 90% of any other post game update that anyone can think of.

BF already blew the doors off CoD, the DLC did the same...

Excellent... I like it when developers move on from a series, when they start tiring of it. You have to let go sometimes, or otherwise, when your as artistically inclined as these guys, your product will suffer, due to boredom, complacency & general frustration about being stuck in a rut.
This is why Bungie got the hell out from MS's spell, as MS just wanted to turn them into a virtual assembly line of Halo sequels.
