Harmless trolling is fine, but insulting other peoples race, gender or sexual orientation is just plain juvenile.

I personally don't troll and hate when others do it. Its ok to have a little trash talking before and after online matches but to just insult people for no reason other than "its amusing" is one of the biggest problems with the internet. People can say whatever they want with no repercussions that they're too spineless to say to your face. When you have nothing better to do than demean others for entertainment, how pathetic is your own life? We have laws that dont allow this in public and I feel there should be laws against this on the internet. People should respect other peoples feelings. Now I'm not talking about a little trash talk before or after a good online match. That is and always will be part of any form of competition. Im talking about the cowardly little loser whose only joy seems to be calling someone every name they can think of just to hear them get mad. What you say to people affects them. Maybe your trolling some guy who just lost a loved one or who might be contemplating suicide. If your trolling pushes them over the edge, you probably wouldn't care because your a troll. Trolls imo somewhere between maggots and cockroaches and should be treated az such. Extermination is a lovely concept but "free speech" being the hypocrisy that it is protects assholes just as much as decent respectful people. When someone pushes for an anti-trolling law on the internet I will back it. Until then, ill just be content with the mute button.

Eh, everyone does it at some point. I've done it multiple times :) It's part of the fun of playing online. I'm pretty good at all games, so it's pretty easy to rub salt into the wounds after kicking butt XD

There is however, a difference between trolling and personal insults. You can troll someone until the person is raging over their microphone, but as soon as you start insulting them on a personal level, then that is where I believe you have crossed the line. At that point it is just malicious.
