omg houndoom evolve form 0_0

dlpg5854069d ago

it wouldn't be in the area pokedex without it's pre-evolutions being there too, don't get your hopes up this is probably fake

GeckoPutt4068d ago

You obviously didn't play Diamond/Pearl/Platinum then... I seem to remember Magmortar and Electivire being introduced in Gen IV, yet Magby and Elekid weren't able to caught without inserting FireRed/LeadGreen into Slot 2 of the DS...

Also, why do they have to be there? Who says Nintendo can't mix things up?

dlpg5854064d ago (Edited 4064d ago )

strange as it may seem, those two evolution trees weren't in the area pokedex (although i too believe that they were introduced in that game)
-retracted- (they extended the regional pokedex to include them, they weren't included initially)

elekid-magmortar are numbers 197-202 in sinnoh pokedex

while i wouldn't be completely against it, not having the pre-evolutions in the area pokedex just wouldn't feel right with pokemon lore. they'd have to specifically say that when this pokemon evolves, it migrates to this area, only returning to lay eggs (like sea turtles). while that would be kinda cool, houndoom would not be the pokemon of choice (lapras would be excellent though)

also you could get there baby evolutions in the game if you made them carry that insence(if i'm not mistaken)

bug/dragon sounds interesting

r214069d ago

Ramzeez, an electric type pokemon. Interesting, hope it looks cool.

r214069d ago

.....it kinda sounds similar to my name

awkward~

Swiggins4069d ago

Just by looking at some of these names I can tell the entire list is bunk.

Snowmanitan?

Fennerva?

Gimmie a break, Nintendo are better at names then that...

snowman21494069d ago

You would think so, but if you played pokemon black/white you know they've started to run of out good names for pokemon..

Except gen 1 had Ekans, Dugtrio, grimer, muk, farfetch'd, ditto... and sandshrew's japanese name is just sand...Whether a name is good is completely subjective. It's just that with general knowledge some puns are easier to figure out than others. That's all just linguistics.
Chandelure is a very cool Pokémon. Much better realized than a purple blob, a pokeball that evolves into a pokeball turned upside down, a pink blob, a whac o mole that evolves into three whac o moles, and a magnet that evolves into 3 magnets.

I heard that people who work on video games aren't allowed to leak info. So this isn't real unless Nintendo wanted to reveal this info in such an obscure way.

Oh_Yeah4069d ago (Edited 4069d ago )

That doesn't mean info can't get leaked...what happens when a dev gets fired or a friend of a dev gets an inside scoop and wants to share? This happens.

MattyG4069d ago (Edited 4069d ago )

People also aren't allowed to murder, do heavy drugs or hire prostitutes, but it happens anyways.

admiralvic4069d ago

Just because you sign an NDA or whatever to not do something, doesn't mean you physically can't do said thing.

Take Marvel vs Capcom 3 for instance. This game launched and shortly after there was a rumor (from a person who leaked MvC 3 stuff) of an ultimate edition coming out. Since this was before a lot of the Capcom hate (was a big turning point though), the opinions were one of the following...

1) Capcom won't do this, they've never done that for a MvC game!
2) No Megaman, No buy.
3) I'll wait for the -insert random list of adjectives to MvC 3- edition we see with any fighting game.
4) It's a rumor, don't trust it.

This rumor turned out to be true, yet I am sure Capcom didn't want people to know they were even thinking it before they officially announced it. It happens and nothing about this leak seems impossible... now if they had the artwork of every Pocket Monster, what level they would evolve at and things of that nature, then yes it would be totally bunk.

Making Pokémon 3D Was A Mistake

Pokémon’s shift to 3D was a big mistake, as the series’ roots in 2D design make it difficult to transfer important game mechanics into a 3D overworld.

why do other games pull off 3D monster collecting JRPG games just fine? Look at Jade Cocoon and Shin Megami Tensei for examples.

Answer should be obvious.

No other videogame franchise is as merchandise driven as Pokémon

Nintendo 3DS Games We Still Love Playing Even Today

BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."

When Will The Pokemon Company Introduce a New Typing?

The Pokemon Company has a solid thing going right now. Well, it’s been going on for a while, actually, but it has been a while since a new typing has been introduced to the popular monster-taming series. The latest one, Fairy type, was introduced back in Generation VI (Pokemon X & Y), so it does seem like it is time to bring in a new one. Check out Jason Capp's article for more.
