"Sony will present a session titled: ‘Overview of PS4 for Developers’. Oculus Rift’s Michael Antonov and Nate Mitchell will present a session titled ‘Running the VR Gauntlet – VR Ready, Are You?’."

sounds good to me, some more info on this machine from the gods

lol I just hope sony allow oculus rift to work with the PS4 for first person games.

hesido4066d ago

I sure hope so. But Oculus Rift needs extemely low latency to work properly so games that support Oculus Rift have to be designed with that in mind, I don't think it will be plug and play.

Pandamobile4066d ago

It probably won't make its way to consoles til 2015 or 2016. It still hasn't reached the PC market yet. It'll take a few extra years before it's ready for consoles.

Arai4066d ago

Sony has their own "Oculus Rift" technology.
You can see/buy it from their website --> 800 USD I believe.

In other words they don't need Oculus Rift.

@ambrosia

Oculus Rift was made because "VR" sets from Sony and many others are overpriced crap.

hesido4065d ago

@Ambrosia: If you are talking about HMZ-T2, that is not motion tracking. It is not a VR headset. Oculus Rift lets you look around 3d world, HMZ-T2 is a compact 3d headset.

They do compete in a sense, however, and Sony may not want Oculus Rift on PS4, unfortunately.
