PS3 Digital Games Could Be a Gentle Way of Easing Us Into Streaming on PS4

1UP - PS4 lacks backwards compatibility, but what if you could stream your PSN collection?

This is what I want at the very least. And I think the writer makes a good point: if you previous games can be offered to you for streaming for free (or at a very very low one time only All PSN unlock price) then that will serve to prove to gamers that the cloud gaming does indeed work.

You probably will be able to stream your PSN collection.

But it won't be free.

At best, we're looking at a forced PS+ subscription. At worst, we're talking about an additional subscription service.

And even then, it won't be for ALL of your games. Just look at all what's been going on with the PS1 and PSP digital games and the Vita.

And even then, streaming would be an inferior experience due to loss of quality and lag.

Rather than "easing us into... PS4," It's "easing" me toward never, every buying a PS4.

A man believes their models will be as follows

Free: online play, cross game chat, store and app access, background downloading, trophies, and sharing videos

PS+ (for same $50 fee): Streaming, discounts, cloud saves, spectating, take control, other stuff

A company has stated what a big part of the future PS+ is and a man doesn't see the fee increasing since a company let's you go far into the future with your subscription (a man is subscribed until November 2014 already).
