God of War: Ascension Ready For Production; Goes Gold

After playing GoW:A's demo and TR, I'd rate the first at 7,5, 8 for the SP portion, and the second at 9 or more.

I'm a GoW fan since the first, but it seems that all creativity went towards MP. There is absolutely NOTHING new presented at this demo, which is actually below the standard quality of the GoW franchise when it comes to characters, frame rate and graphics.

But there is MP. I'll buy the game mostly for this, since the SP looks to be just different scenarios with basically the same enemies.

TR: Well designed for what it is supposed to be. An adventure game about survivalism and exploration. It brings both.

The games are very, very different, both are good in their genres, but instead of GoW:A (if it's only for the SP), I'd pick up DMC or MGR.

TR is much like Uncharted with a survival theme. Though there's a lot of crucial differences, as the semi open environments and leveling up. Also, at least in the beginning, you're not overpowered as Drake always is.

Anyway, they are clearly very very similar.

I disagree with you on God of War completely. I did feel that a lot of the climbing segments in the God of War demo felt like uncharted more than God of War though. However, It's not a bad thing at all and the demo actually surprised me with how fresh the gameplay felt. The new grapple button makes it so there's no longer the awkward looking grab with the circle button and you don't need to go directly up to things anymore for QTEs. I was expecting more of the same and was pleasantly surprised with the new enemies among other things too.

I'm also getting Tomb Raider On steam if the pc reviews reviews state it's a good port like Sleeping Dogs. Also picking one over the other depends on your own preferences in regards to what are your favorite types of games, how much you'd play the online components, do you want a lengthy sp, etc.

Perhaps you should make better use of your own and actually base your opinion on the full game rather than a demo, because you pretty much judged the whole of Ascension based on the demo and you criticised the graphics when they are quite clearly better looking than previous GOW's.
I understand that you are frustrated about being accused of trolling but please try to remain calm and don't get too excited. If you want to express your opinion about games or game demos then go ahead, but at least try to be civil about it. There was no reason as to why you had to add in the fanboy comment at the end of your post. It made it sound like you were trying to criticise the game to annoy fanboys rather than give your thoughts.

I've always thought GOW games have a lot of replay value, especially with the multiplayer in Ascension. I'd go with GOW, but that's just me, I plan on playing both, but buying GOW.

I want Tomb Raider, but I already have my copy of GOW paid for.. and I'm still playing Dead Space 3. I'm going to probably wait for Tomb Raider to drop down to $40.. I'm going to need something to play between April and June when The Last Of Us comes out.

Keep in mind, with GOW, you're also getting TLOU demo.

Havent even entertained the notion of buying TR (i don't know why) but im sure getting GOW4. As it stands i just enjoy ps4 exclusives more than i do most multiplat games.

Oh man I have been itching to play some more Ascension multiplayer! So excited to check out the other two Gods and more maps/levels.

I know the SP will be awesome, but I am kinda more excited for the full multiplayer experience after that Beta.
