The Wii U eShop is quickly becoming the go-to place for indie developers — recently we've seen the likes of The 90's Arcade Racer, Armillo, Dusty Raging Fist and Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails all confirmed for release on the download service, and today Nintendo Life can exclusively reveal that another promising-looking title has joined their ranks.
Serena Nelson writes: "It's always sad to see a crowdfunded project not make funding. It's even more disheartening to have to get the news that a project cannot continue on. For one reason or another, usually related to time or money, the development for said game just has to stop. Permanently. Unfortunately, this appears to be the case with the roguelike platformer Another Castle."
Welcome to Nintendo Enthusiast's Indie Corner, a brand new web series showcasing upcoming Wii U indie game titles. Hosted by Jason Lepine, Indie Corner is a 14 part series listing Indie Wii U titles by genre. This series will highlight short game previews and put the spotlight on some unknown gems.
In this video we go over some 2D Platform Games.
Another Castle is a ‘roguealike’ classic platforming game. You play as Andy, who’s looking for a random item, which may be a magical sword, a wizard hat, or something else entirely. You run, jump, and fight your way through randomly generated platforms.
This game looks so cool.
Hmmm Not sure If I would enjoy the "retro" style. I already have a ton of old games that give me this effect.
