The Last of Us 'probably' coming to PS4 too, says Pachter

A PlayStation 4 version of The Last of Us is "probably" in development alongside the upcoming PS3 version, industry analyst Michael Pachter has predicted.

Pachter made this up! Last of us will not release on the PS4. Last of us is made for the PS3 architecture. His just trying along with videogamer.com to mislead/confuse people to wait for the PS4 version which will not come. This way Naughty Dog will lose sales.

WarThunder, all PS3 assets are made on the PC, then crammed into PS3 architecture and RAM restraints. Developers have already said that porting to the PS4 is a dream. And I'm pretty sure Naughty Dog stated that all their assets are ALREADY in 1080p - or higher - PC format.

The last of Us can easily pass as an early next gen title with some minor upgrades to the lighting and textures and what not.

And with the release date being pushed to the day after E3 means that maybe there is going to be some kind of showing for the game as part of the PS4 showcase as a launch title so it will gain press.

Instead of getting buried by next gen news it can actually be part of it and really shine.

And then mention "oh and if you cant wait you can get the ps3 version"

i would wait for the release of the PS4 due to the fact that you only have 3 and a half months till E3 and then after that you will have another 5 months to wait for the PS4 and it will be well worth the wait. that's what im doing i don't have a PS3 right now cause i don't want to invest my money just yet as the reward of me waiting will be a new system with these games available for the PS4 via the cloud by Gaikai.

Looking forward to Getting The Last of Us ASAP, but I definitely do not see this happening. As much as the game would benefit from PS4, if anyone gets the most out of PS3, its Naughty Dog.

Exactly I don't see it happening either. If the release date for the console was close to the release date of the game the yea but it isn't. Why would someone wait out to get TLoU until November O.o? Most of the sells well happen in the first few weeks that's release which is in June unless they delay it again.

i wouldn't look past this by Sony to not have THE LAST OF US end up on PS4 and from what i seen in the gameplay that was presented that this game visually is a really good looking game and the game is revolutionary as to what the PS4 is bringing to the table and the PS4 could definitely run this game smoothly and it would be a success. so Sony lets see y'all get it done. oh yea and about Patcher even though he is very controversial in his speaking, he more than likely is right about what he says. he predicted the rise and fall of the Nintendo Wii U and i followed all of what he said.

I dont know but i feel This will eventually end up happening, not just with this games but a whole bunch of them.

Sony is already stating that the ps4 will have the best launch line up in history and publishers i am sure will want more sales.

Then you have publishers like ubisoft stating that watch dog is pretty much finalize for next gen platforms and that the current gen versions havent begun production.

Followed by naughty dog saying that the engine behind the last of us was built next gen ready.

It all sounds to me like more and more tripple A games will start releasing cross platform, until the current gen eventually fades away.

GTV along say a new COD and Sony's own exclusives will make the ps4 a very attractive proposition. But we shall see.

If it is indeed true I wonder how this will play out. Don't think we've ever had this sort of "bridge" between generations before.

PS3 version would sell millions I'm guessing, unless many switch to PS4 and then what... they sell less PS3 versions of the game, but SOME PS4 versions. Kinda splitting their sales across two platforms... I just don't know what's gonna happen! (Ideally, buying one copy gets you a voucher on the other for free!!!!) Maybe it will be a GAKAI title!

I'm not sure about that. They would have to completely rebuild the game since its made to use the most out of the Cell as possible.
