Kotaku - I knew I wasn't going to get any real details about Infamous: Second Son out of Sucker Punch's Nate Fox. But I've been a big fan of the open-world PS3 exclusives, especially because their take on superhero action makes great use of the tight thematic bond that a superhero has with his city.
inFAMOUS Second Son was one of PS4's best exclusives, but does it hold up a decade later?
100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released
Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.
Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.
Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run
I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.
Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.
I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.
Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion
GB: "With this feature, we run down 15 of the most underrated games on the PS4 that never received the love and appreciation they truly deserve."
I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.
I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.
There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
GB: "There's just something special about the games that could be, and this feature gushes about 15 games that we would love to see on the PS5."
Before I was sure that the Good Ending from I2 was canon, but now I'm questioning it a little. You have successfully planted the seeds of doubt. Damn you.
I don't understand why they won't tell us...unless they don't even know themselfs
Maybe they wanted to continue the game but saw that each ending was problematic. I mean I'm pretty sure in the first inFAMOUS despite there not being any MASSIVE change in the good/evil endings they still seemed to go with the good one for inFAMOUS 2. I mean inFAMOUS was all about how Cole used his powers but the good side of things just felt more right in my opinion. I don't think for a second Cole would murder is his best friend and kill millions, not after what Kesler told him and prepared him for, even killing Trish.
I still like to think deep down that since it's not called inFAMOUS 3 that it won't continue from any ending, that way when they bring Cole back...and THEY WILL, I know they said they won't but he has a large fanbase, he's too good to throw away, they will use inFAMOUS 3.
I just feel this was to expand the universe a bit more without continuing Coles story....kind of like they are giving it a rest then will come back to it in the future.
Hell inFAMOUS has a theme about time travel and alternative timelimes...what about if this is just a "what if" scenario if Cole chose a neutral ending, he defeated the beast but didn't activate the Ray Sphere fully, obviously they would have to fill it plot holes like what happened to the plague etc but it's possible
Still crossing my fingers Cole will return and this is just a spin off.
If they couldn't even confirm what ending is canon then something is up...come on it's not a hard question
If it's the good ending then all conduits we're wiped out, thats what is stated so I don't know where this came from
"and leaves only a few other superpowered folks like him in existence."
So it means that there wouldn't be any conduits around at all....not enough anyway they would crack down on it with high tec surveillance and repression.
If it's the bad ending then humans wouldn't have control would they...that's what people keep forgetting when they say the bad ending is canon. Humans would of stood no chance against thousands of conduits and the plague wiping them out
Damn Kotaku. Good ending supossedly killed ALL conduits on the world, even those who have not awakened yet.
They can't even get that right.
We don't know why there are still conduits seven years later. Either bad ending is canon or something else happened that allowed some conduits to survive.
Duh. I just figured it out. It'll take place in the timeline that gave rise to Kessler!
Guys, in inFamous 2, on an evil mission, Nix asks "You got any family?" Cole responds with "Ya, a younger brother" that's obviously who this character is. The second son
