"The PlayStation Meeting 2013 was not only just a reveal for the PlayStation 4, it was also a detailed look at what we can expect to see in the future for this new console. While most will not get a chance to try out the PS4 until Holiday 2013, Sony brought more than enough developers and publishers out to show us what to expect. There was a lot of different games from many different genres to keep most gamers a reason to check out the new system."
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
weird eyes, maybe its just the graphics direction
My thoughts are this:
taking a look at what unfolded from this event i can say that im going the way of the PS4 not only from a fanboys point of view its from a gamers point of view. im not a fan of Microsoft and i really don't like the whole paying for online service and then on top of that paying for music games and all that. besides Microsoft is an expensive investment. i liked what i seen and even though they didn't show a physical console or even though they just had tech demos, i liked what they brought to the table and it showed me where Sony in visions the future and what they have coming up. they made a smart move not showing everything cause they still have E3 and they didn't want to reveal all of what they had in one shot. Microsoft its your move and lets see what you have in your holster.
the Infamous trailer was mixed with game play and cut scenes as said by the developer

"It would have been nice to see how the game is looking so far, but the CG trailer gave us all a good example of what the tone will be like for Second Son. The game looks to be a while off until it launches, but this already looks like another standout title for the system."
Firstly, it's not CG (yeah, amazing I know) and secondly I believe it was said that it'll launch with the system.
