PS4 haters: Simmer down and celebrate progress

The fact that anti-Sony fanboys are already condemning a console when they know almost nothing about it should destroy any credence they had to their voices, and they should be shunned for their one-dimensional minds.

Why not celebrate progress, and buy whatever console comes out that has games on it that you like, and satisfies whatever your wants are? The fanboy mentality makes gamers look bad, and it's the antithesis to gamers trying to be taken seriously. If we want gaming to be accepted as a legitimate art form, every fanboy is a step backwards in creating a culture of respect and sophistication in the gaming world.

Even when Sony does the right thing they still get hate for it,

Example for years the anti's were saying that the PS3 price should drop, Sony comes out with the PS3 slim...then what do people say "too little to late" "dooomed" "ugly design" "it will fail"

Sony comes out with PS+ "dooomed" "scam" "not good enough" "rip off" "it's just a scam to spend more money"

For 2 years fanboys bitch about the PS3's "lack of games" an absolute myth btw, then when Sony does release exclusives "yeah but PS3 exclusives are irrelevant" "I don't care for them" "they can't match the sales of Halo"

They 'Fear' the capabilities and potential of the PS4 which 'Angers' them to the point of denial. That denial manifests itself as 'Hate', the hate makes them say & do stupid things which in actual fact is that they are jealous that their allegiance can't compete. In the end they end up 'Suffering' cause their allegiance will probably get no support.

It really quite sad really. Not sure if there should be pity or whatnot. There is just no good to come out of HATE or negativity. Just accept it & move on....it's that simple.

I have no hate for anyone, i will just buy the best console in a time frame that suits me, last time i went with the 360 at launch, i enjoyed for a whole year before the ps3 launched and even when i did it wasn't much better.
This time if most of what i'm reading about the machines i will go for a PS4

When the Wii U was shown there was new accounts here (both fanboy and troll) within hours and certain existing members had turned downright rabid.
Now the same thing has happened with the PS4 and it'll happen again with the Xbox 720.
To hate or be overprotective of a console or a company is just pathetic.

When Watch Dogs was 1st revealed on PC last year, everyone was blown away and said it stole the show yet when Sony showed an identical looking version running on PS4 this week it's fake and pre rendered and the PS4 is apparently light years behind PC before it's even released!!

Success always leads to hate. Look at Lebron James who is arguably the best player in the nba now but haters always gonna hate. Look at Ray Lewis, arguably the best inside linebacker to play the game but yet people will always find something to take away from his accomplishments. The same thing is happening with sony now. They were the best in the ps1 & ps2 eras & people said they would fail with the ps3 & be the next dreamcast but look where the ps3 is at now. Sony might not have come in 1st with the ps3 sales wise but they have the best exclusives to offer & the ps3 is still very much alive & will continue to sell when the ps4 is out & people will continue to hate but like they say, "Dont Hate The Player, Hate The Game" & because of those haters u make me shine even more because even your hatin azz be thinking about me lol. Funny you use those two athletes. People don't hate those two because they are great at what they do, they are hated because they're both assholes. Lebron James had to hold a television conference when he chose a new team. Plus the guy has tatoos on his body exclaiming how great he thinks he is. That's a little narcissistic. I never understood why someone would spend their time trying to justify the product they bought, while making others feel bad for what they got. We must remember that technology like video game consoles are made for people to enjoy themselves.. it is not made to entitle you to a certain group, nor does it entitle you to being a better human being - after all we're just staring at screens for hours upon hours pushing buttons.

Obviously, no console will ever match what a computer is capable of...since a console is just a computer, itself. You can always add more to a computer. What developers do with that power is a completely different conversation. It's a ridiculous debate.

I don't hate the PS4, nor do I want Sony to fail, I'm just not convinced on getting one day one. Right now, I wait for E3 and hope they show something that make me want one.

In all seriousness though, fanboyism is completely normal. It's akin to liking a sports team. That's the mindset.
