The new PlayStation puts a premium on accessibility and social media elements. Therefore, one has to wonder if it's more of a "casual gamer's" machine.
We got a hands-on look at SAND LAND, including a peek at the all new Forest Land in game.
Is Capcom justified in releasing the game with 21 downloadable items?
all which you can earn IN THE GAME BY PLAYING.. sheesh.. people need to chill and stop trippin'.
capcom has done this with every resi game since 2, with devil may cry 4 and 5.
we should be complaining about the poor Performance
I'll be handing out homework In the form of research on the essence of the boiling frog syndrome because the comments already are afflicted with this.
*Performance comment Is spot on 5+ points.
Accepting that these publishers have these types of mtx In games Is tiring, "well, they've done it with their other IP" so should we accept it? Your acceptance of it happening is ruining gaming, just to make it clear.
But it's okay though, you can earn the stuff ingame. 🙃
Hardcore Gamer Writes "As I was thinking about what I enjoyed as a fan was the fact that you could go on a journey that is almost planetary where you're exploring the world."
no there infact the only company supporting hardcore games.
Although 'social' and 'accessible' are words you probably could associate with casual games, it's more than possible to make a core game that is both without sacrificing the depth of play you'd expect from such a game. I believe this is what Sony wants to achieve.
Playstation 4 will appeal to everyone, it doesnt need any rediculous gimmic to kinect with the casuals.
Well look at the software titles announced at the press conference:
The Witcher 4
Destiny
Diablo III
inFamous: Second Son
The Witness
Watch Dogs
Driveclub
Killzone Shadowfall
Battlefield 4
A New Final Fantasy (probably Final Fantasy versus 13 rebranded as Final Fantasy 15)
Knack
Deep Down
Rocketbirds 2: Evolution
Most of them hardcore. Although the push for self published games will allow a broader spectrum of indie titles to grace the system. I think they're catering to gamers period. Not one or the other.
The article fails to understand that Social does not equal casual. Even hardcore gaming is getting more social day by day trough e-sports, I mean just look at LoL tournaments, Major Gaming League (MLG) and maybe google some speedruns while at it.
There's nothing casual in those, in-fact that's probably as hardcore as it gets with gaming.
Sony and Microsoft would be blind not to notice this.
