Not surprised, really. Alien is like a British national treasure.

Such a buggy pos , i kept dying during a cutscene lmao.

I feel bad for everyone still buying it, expecting the bad press to be from over zealous individuals upset about a few minor variations from the demo, only to find out ACM is in fact utter horse shite :/

im so glad i came out in America first. I cancelled my preorder of the special edition literally an hour before GAME shipped it.

stickskills4075d ago

Has to be all the pre-orders that didn't check reviews.

ApolloTheBoss4075d ago

And this is why I rarely pre-order. You never know.

DaveyB4075d ago

Can't say I'm surprised - regardless of reviews the subject matter is always going to be compelling.

For the little I played of it this weekend though, I can't say I was blown away - very simple, very stupid, fun. Glad I didn't buy it!

g-nome4075d ago

Not like there has been much out so far this year.

HarryMasonHerpderp4075d ago

It's selling copy's purely on the licence.
Such a shame the developers never gave the Aliens franchise the respect it deserves.

Irishguy954075d ago

Yeah they had a real chance. They ****ed up horribly. They'll still get loads of money for it but they are losing ALOT of respect for it

sGIBMBR4075d ago

Well I sure as hell won't buy a gearbox game again without checking the reviews before hand...

I was never expecting this game to be amazing, to be quite honest I knew it wouldn't even be good, it was quite apparent from game play video's. I purely just got this game to play coop with my friends, but I was never expecting anything this atrocious!!

Roundtable: Games That Should Have Received a Sequel

Too many games aren't given a second shot. We at VGU choose which games we would love to see receive a sequel.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
