I wish there was more of a difference but they seem pretty similar to me.

jacksheen00004080d ago (Edited 4080d ago )

Not really.

The camera angles(wide angle that is) and depth of field is better on the xbox 360 version.

The xbox 360 version has better frame rate and smoother animation.

The xbox 360 version has slightly better colors although the graphics look identical nevertheless.

The only thing I noticed that's better on the Wii U version is the lighting; but not by much though.

@Milesprowers

Congrats, I'm officialy ashamed I even wasted the time to explain anything to you in the first place. Marked trolling....get used to that.

Nevers0ft4080d ago

I can't see much difference either. The colour/saturation is different but I'm not sure which I prefer (and I'm colour blind anyway so probably not the best judge).

I don't know about the other versions but... Although it's not particularly evident in the video above, the framerate on the Wii U version can chug a little at times.

OccludedGamer4080d ago (Edited 4080d ago )

Actually in this case it doesn't. Going by digital foundry the PC version is inconsistent. Sure the overall textures and frame rates are better as expected, however the backgrounds don't mesh well due to the fact they don't upscale.

Technically the PC version is superior but the experience in play could bug an eagle-eyed gamer.

PS. Why did this even get posted? The Digital Foundry tech analysis was done months ago and the general consensus among the gaming community is that DF tell it staight anyway

Moncole4080d ago

The PC version has more characters.

OccludedGamer4080d ago

@Moncole

I wouldn't dispute a point like that, I just get tired of people like Miles giving PC gamers a bad name, I'd bet he doesn't even own a PC and is out purely to make PC gamers look bad.

I guess what I was trying to say is this isn't a game that will really benefit from having an almighty rig anyway since it's not demanding and the console version looks great too so it seems silly to troll an article based on the obvious differences that every PC game has.

Milesprowers4080d ago

I have Steam Big Picture, an Xbox 360 Controller and an PS3 Controller, and runs perfectly in FULL HD on my TV.. The Visual are Crystal Clear..

The PC Version was the best experience.

Blastoise4080d ago

Look exactly the same to me

young7yang4080d ago

this is stupid.. and anyone can clearly see that this comparison is biased.. look at how he is playing the 360 version of the game yet is completely screwing up on his play through with wii u version.. I own the wii U version by the way and i am yet to notice anything issues within the games.. this video proves nothing except how good he plays the 360 version!

chukamachine4080d ago

PC version is the best, but nobody can tell x8aa to 16aa unless zoomed in 300%

Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed - Still Perfect After All These Years

A decade later, Sega's iconic racer is still a formidable foe to the Mario Kart franchise.

Yes, yes it is! Damn shame that Sega never made another sequel or even updated this one with new tracks and characters.

"The platform of choice, however, is the Xbox Series X."

Yessir, the game runs extremely smooth because of the frame rate boost. Still, till this day I play Sonic ASR with friends.

darthv72814d ago

Transformed is my favorite of the series. Even Team racing (the next iteration) is pretty good too but I liked transformed better.

gangsta_red814d ago

I tried team racing and it just didn't click with me as much as Transformed did.

I seriously just wish Sega would do another sequel to that game instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

It was the best alternative to Mario Kart on Xbox/PS

Good list. Personally I’d probably trade the Sonic CD game in this list for Sonic the Hedgehog (1), simply because CD is quite easy so you’ll blast through it, and the original Sonic was basically a new benchmark when it was released which blew everything and everyone at the time away. It also features my favorite zone, Starlight Zone.

I really hope one day we’ll be blessed with a Sonic Mania 2.

RetroCaptainSteve865d ago

Yeah, the first game will always be a classic, but I believe Sonic 2 and 3 moved the chains for the series quite a bit. Sonic CD definitely innovated as well, particularly with its amazing soundtracks and 3D bonus stage. :D

R was one of my first PC games along with Worms 2 and some others like Virtual Springfield. R was kind of good in a strange way i guess, i didn't hate it at the time.

Sonic CD was decent but I'd say i liked the music more, at least for the JP/EU version, some of the levels felt a bit all over the place and most of the bosses were odd and a bit too easy. Even though the system was a flop too it did have some very good games like Final Fight also which had some great music.

Rebel_Scum863d ago

The 8-bit Sonic’s always get left off these ranked lists.

badboyz09862d ago (Edited 862d ago )

Good picks! But...SA 2 kinda fell backward on those digging segments. Great rap song tho!
