The good he does(Giant leaps in gay rights, healthcare) is offset by the bad(more drone strikes, more renditions, more marijuana raids, NDAA, extension of the Patriot Act etc.

I'm not at the point where I hate him, but I don't love him either.

No one familiar with his executive orders and bills like the NDAA should like Obama. He went back on his promises to not get involved in foreign civil wars, ending indefinite detention, etc. He's Bush with more civil action.

It still makes me sick to my stomach to know that Obama, McCain, and Romney were the presidential candidates for the last 5 years. It's like people hate their rights and want the economy to get worse.

Not that I like moving this even further from the article itself, but Logic really didn't state anything untrue.

His use of drone strikes is rather cruel and has killed many innocents in the process.

He is actively attacking state legal marijuana dispensaries.

While making promises to lessen the harsh treatment of US held prisoners, he's actually gotten worse than what we've had under Bush.

And I don't think I need to bring up some of the legislation he passed.

Many of the things he speaks on on a social level, I approve of. Other than that though, I don't feel he is a man who deserves our trust, let alone our love.

Everyone, obviously, is entitled to their opinion though.

Tell me about it. I got five so far and no ones offered a proper rebuttle yet. Even GCO Gamer hasn't explained WHY he disagrees with me.

When I get disagrees without responses, I just take it that the person pressing the button is angry because he/she KNOWS that I'm right and can't come up with a counter argument..hence why they press the disagree button.

In the end, all the disagree button does is promote cowardice. If every disagree automatically generated a mandatory reply box(similar to the one you get when you agree/disagree with a report), it would weed out many of the immature brats on N4G and we'd have more mature conversations based on FACTS, not emotions.

I don't understand. If Obamas so smart, why did he propose a $10,000,000 study(OUR tax dollars) to research a connection between violent games and real world violence...when its been PROVEN in the past that no such connection exists?

Dude the focus of the heat is Obama but MOST of his orders are from the government. Truth be told, presidents arent really powerful but more like puppets to use like a spokesperson. However, Congress. Senate, and House is taking horrible actions to help the economy and Democrats and Republicans can find a sense of balance to motion on. He uses executive orders as though he himself were king. He brought into law unconstitutional laws. The NDAA gives government the power of indefinate detainment of American citizens without trial or due process. He has pushed to censor and monitor the internet in a way that curbs and destroys freedom of speech. He used executive order to force doctors to intrude on my privacy as to if i own firearms, and has strengthened the patriot act, the very same patriot that the Democrats cried as unconstitutional when facing the republicans, but support as OBAMA strengthens it. Our government does not belong to us anymore it belongs to wall street and the lobbyists. It belongs to the bankers that prints and manipulates the very currency u spend. Government has become power to the highest bidder and neither your Socialist Democrats or your fascists Republicans will change a thing. I watching NOVA, and they were talking about the impact of drones and how they already have a drone that could move around any where and do certain things without the assisstance of human operator. And while games are under attack after unfortunate incidents like what happened in Sandy Hook, this guy says he thinks video games can be GOOD. Yes, he is involved in a study which looks at the impact of violent gaming on our kids and society.

So freakin what? When the research is done and proves what we all know- that games DON'T positively correlate to violent actions- we can forever say "goodbye" to the bad press gaming has gotten for decades.

It may seem like common sense to us, but common sense isn't common. And it's a nice target the NRA can shift the blame to, while they're at it. Maybe eliminating one more false cause will move us toward an actual solution that much quicker.

I feel like, though, if Obama said "We need to do more to cure cancer and get rid of AIDS," a lot of people would STILL complain about the things they DIDN'T like, instead.
