Who would buy Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC now?

From the article, "We see Aliens: Colonial Marines for what it is now. It is a deeply flawed game that has perhaps left an indelible stain on both Sega and Gearbox Software. Which begs the question, who would actually buy Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC, knowing what the game is like and how unbearable an experience it is?"

Saying this game is unbearable might be over doing it just a bit but it does have some issues?

Zha1tan4080d ago

trust me, it really is unbearable for any long time aliens fan who cares about story, characters and overall the presentation of the xenomorphs, the very fact there was 3 levels shooting nothing but humans says it all.

Trust you? Ignore our own opinions which we may have gained from actually playing the game and trust you?

The game is not as bad as everyone is making out, nowhere near what everyone was expecting, but nowhere deserving of the reviews its received.

Its just become cool to hate on the game. The exact same thing happened in 2011 with Duke Nukem: Forever.

I just finished it and disagree. Aliens is one my favorite movies and if not for the story (not that it's great) I would have stopped playing long before the games end. The game is not very good, the story is not good but does let you back into the Aliens universe. If you are not a fan of Aliens STEER CLEAR!

but i do have the game and I will have a review up for it soon. It isn't a blockbuster but it does what a game should do and provides some fun and entertainment.

@ujean

And now its just become the game to like because it goes against the grain and popular opinion.

The only people who will defend it are those who are incredibly defensive of their purchases or those who see themselves as a special little snowflake for liking it.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
