I don't believe it's its own game, it's an update to NSMBU. Think of it more as a DLC pack.

We don't know how much it's going to cost. Nintendo mentioned it would be a DLC that's as big as a retail game for NSMBU starring Luigi.

80 New levels & it's designed more with Luigi in mind obviously.

It's a downloadable game for the eshop, hopefully they add somethings to make it feel like a luigi game. Maybe add something like in the ghost house you use his vaccum from luigi's manson.

It's actually dlc, sorry if i confused anybody. From the sound of the nintendo direct it made it sound like a full downloaable game, as they mentioned alot about it being a full sized effort.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is like what they had in Mario Galaxy, where if you beat the game with all the stars you get to play it again as luigi, the difference being he slides and is more awkward to use. Expect that but perhaps more difficult stages based off the originals, to add an additional challenge and another means to play it again.

This is a full-game sized DLC. I have the game and finally finished it but not 100% done yet.

For those thinking Nintendo just replaced Mario with Luigi are incorrect. I don't remember seeing these levels in the game. They redesigned some if not all levels. Add a few more monsters, add/remove a few platforms, switch around the bosses, reposition coins/secret exits, etc.
I am guessing this with be $20-30.

Meh. Im so jaded by side scrolling 2-D games on consoles. Although I might try out Donkey Kong COuntry Returns for my 3DS as well as Mario and Luigi Dream Team. Wii U has the Zelda HD re-release and Pikmin 3 thus far as the only games Id buy it for.
