Might have made a slight difference to have this patch in place BEFORE reviews buried the game.

I don't think that patch would have helped, the game has pretty poor over all design even without the bugs.

I ended up taking a chance and buying the game today, after my above comment. The game isn't perfect by any means, but it doesn't really deserve a 5.5 average in my opinion. I haven't finished the campaign yet and haven't tried any online play, but right now my score is a 7 and I think multiplayer will be fun enough to bump it up to an 8. Obviously reviews are just opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs, but I think scores in the 6 to 8 range are reasonable. All those 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s came from the type of people who declare a game utter trash if it doesn't play exactly like they want it to. Sadly that type is becoming the norm and I think gaming will suffer for it.

good. i played some online and i like it so far. from the negative reviews i expected much worse.

dont know about others but im enjoying it so far.

My expectations were so high. I'm disappointed with the glitches and bugs. Seriously, i went through a wall and saw the whole map layout like if you ever see Minecraft load all funky and you see the caves under the water.

Apparently the game was outsourced to Section 8 devs. It's not much of a Gearbox game. Not to mention the earlier first demo build from the game had a better atmosphere/darkness feeling compared to the released version. I'm not sure if it has to do with consoles but damn, the PC version seems lacking in detail.

They basically hype the crap out of this unpolished game and now they're selling DLCs for a ridiculous price. Campaign is WAY WAY short. I expected more from a game that was supposedly made by the Borderlands 2 devs.

Roundtable: Games That Should Have Received a Sequel

Too many games aren't given a second shot. We at VGU choose which games we would love to see receive a sequel.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
