Sony Books Huge Venue for PlayStation Meeting, Perfect Place for PS4 Reveal

With the PlayStation Meeting now one week away, excitement for the PS4′s announcement is at a fever pitch. Of course, some are still reluctant to believe that the next generation is already upon us, but the size of the meeting’s venue certainly points to the PlayStation 4′s big reveal.

I've been hearing a rumor that the Vita will be re-branded as the PSP2 to capitalize on the ever popular PSP name. I think that this is something that they should have done right out of the gates, but its better late then never.

I have gotten to a point where the new games do not excite me any more - the only game that has me really looking forward to it is the The Last of US, apart from that all the other games just seem meh and I do not expect anything diffrent and new apart from just better eye candy.

The duck game did come out, but the game design just changed a lot, it became 'Super Rub a Dub' I'd prefer the Ducks as the image showed in the demo reel though, random mini-games and PIRATE SHIPS! and CUPS OF WATER! I fully completed Super Rub a Dub, but it wasn't as entertaining as the original Rubber Duck game would've been.

Theyre gonna show their plan/intentions for the PS4 and all the possibly boring stuff they want investors to know too. And when E3 comes around it'll be nothing but games, lots and lots of games running real-time on the actual hardware.

There is little else they could announce that requires a 2,200 seat building. They are bring in not just Game media but media from all over the world. Investors and shareholders will be there also.

OT: I think this is a really great move and great idea by Sony. Not only to get the upper hand on M$, but to announce and show off the system and possibly new controller as well...then come E3, have everything related to Vita & PS4 with all in-game, real-time demos being showcased and then availability, prices for launch. There is no way it could be anything minor. Sony would not go through so much trouble unless they have something huge to announce. Anything else could have been easily been posted on their Blog or online somewhere without having to invite the press, their investors and renting out a gigantic place like this.
