Team 17 has only just released Alien Breed for the PS3 and PS Vita, but the developer revealed today that it's currently working on an HD version of classic Amiga game Superfrog, which was released back in 1993.
Due for release later this year for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, Superfrog HD will feature all the levels you remember from 1993 but with all new graphics.
Free stuff doesn't come around all that often. By that we mean genuinely free stuff. Games With Gold and PlayStation Plus games aren't truly free as you still have to pay for your subscription to get access to those games. 100% free stuff is rare, so we're happy to write that this is one of those rare occasions - an early Christmas treat, if you will.
Superfrog HD, the HD remaster of the classic 2D platform game developed by Team 17, is now available for a reduced price on GOG.
MWEB GameZone reviews Superfrog HD on Android, a game that fails short so horribly in terms of gameplay and controls that it was better left to the PlayStation and PC.
...one of my favourite games of all-time.
Let's hope the HD release will be great. :)
Amazing! I will be replaying the castle and egypt levels over and over again.
I played this alot om my brothers amiga 1200 as a kid!
This s very welcome.
Lemmings. Syndicate. Simon the sorcerer and that jurassic park game that also released on nes/snes.
Superfrog is an amazing platformer game. It's worth it for the music on the opening screen alone. Out of all the Amiga games that could have been released , that is the one that I would have chosen. It doesn't really do anything new gameplay wise but it does it with joie de vivre. The original game was sponsored by Lucozade (like a lot of Amiga games sponsored by sweets/drinks companies). I wonder if that will still apply? I'd urge anyone to play Rick Dangerous 2 as well.
many a memory of this game, great news
