On the Wii U, Monster Hunter Looks Better Than Ever

It's an HD upgrade of a Wii game, right? Unless there are Monster Hunter games on the 360/PS3/PC this would make it the first one for HD consoles, right?

So of course it looks better than ever. It's in HD.

Either way, the game does actually look pretty good for an HD Wiimake. It'll be my first Monster Hunter game and I'm itching to try it soon.

Monster Hunter portable third HD is on the PlayStation 3 but it has to be imported from Japan

Its an HD ugrade for a 3DS game, not Wii. The Wii version actually had a little bit more geometry if I recall.

This will be the thrid Monster Hunter in HD. The first one was Frontier for the 360, though that was only 720p and the same with MHP3 on the PS3.

3 Ultimate is the first in 1080p though.

Monster hunter was too ambitious for ps3 in other words the wii game tri was too much for ps3 to handle in HD ect.

It can technically handle it, but capcom found it far to expensive to try to produce a game as big as tri. aka they wanted the $$$. As for the pain777, the series did better for capcom on the wii/3ds which is why they signed the deal as Nintendo has funded ads for it over in europe and north america.

They can scale every fu**ing game..... look at PC, some multiplatform games are looking much better on PC, but the same game can be playable on PS3/Xbox360. Even if the PC is much more powerful than current gen consoles, they can still scale ti down if they wish.

Can i say i have Wiiu and u will use the GAMEPAD for browsing,gaming,watching films,the lot its replaced my android and pc as the No1 Browser its blazing fast it does HD video yes HD porn as well,it's alot more than a games console in my eyes.

DevineAssault it's more than a few things added on the monsters behave even better and let me say before hand the AI on the monsters was far beyond any ps3 game and there more intelligent now,theres like 50% more content and its running on a more powerful MT framework so is 3ds version it's simply not tri on wii re-textured as ign puts it,it's a beast of a game.

@starfox the browser is only as fast as your incoming internet conncetion my phone will always be my number 1 browser source because i can choose what browser to use and dont have to be in my room. Hspd is gonna be 128 mbps which im sure will suffice for the internet. Also because its portable i can watch films anywhere on the planet and because its android i can download them for free so the only thing the wiiu has to offer is its games which are mostly kids games and rehashed games charged at almost full price so yea i think ill stick with my phablet for general music,video and browsing and wait to see what sony and microsoft bring to the table gamingwise.

Played a MH on PSP once, kind cool, I could see how some people love the series, but ultimately not for me.

As for comparison, think SotC but more fleshed out.

They are great! Something about progression in these games are so addictive, there is no leveling up, you only get stronger by better understanding the monsters and by crafting new weapons and armor all made from monster parts and gathered materials.

In addition, I've found the online community for tri to be extremely positive and friendly, it is rarely hard to find someone willing to help you out if needed and the sense of teamwork when taking down one of the beasts is unmatched.

i just love it when theres HD remasters with FULL retail price tags.. When sony does it, they slap 2 or more games on one disc for $40.. But nintendo (& or capcom) thinks a few extras in the same exact game from last gen in HD warrants a $60 price tag.. Windwaker is a remake but it still shouldnt be any higher than $40 because ultimately its the same exact effin game.. A gamecube game at that..

Actually this would be considered a few MH games in one since they added stuff from previous titles in to this one. Areas, monster, Armors and Weapons.So its not only 1 game. This is more like 3 or 4 games in one.

Wind Waker HD isn't just an HD port. It's an HD remake. There will be new features and supposedly dungeons as well which were originally made but unused in the final product. Well worth $60 imo.

As for others, let's take for instance Sony bundling God of War 1 & 2 together in HD, I think that one reason for that was because those games could be bought at the time for less than $20 (as PS2 games) since they were still being sold in the greatest hits series. Not to mention, they wanted to have an HD God of War product available for people who hadn't yet played GoW, but were thinking about getting GoW 3.

I think there are a lot of people on here that haven't played MH.

You will like it, you will love it, you will hate it, you will want to break your controller. But finally getting that missing piece to make a full gear set will make you forget about the breaking controller part...

I would really want a super meter like street fighter to unleash a massive super combo. ( ok i play to much street fighter lol)

I dont really mind not being able to see the Health bar to be quite honest. Besides once the monster is about to throw in the towel it limps. So you can start planning on whether youll be going in for the Kill or the Cap.
