What Does the GTA 5 Delay Signify?

Gi - At the end of January, fans of GTA 5 were looking forward to an announcement about the game’s official cover art. After all, Rockstar said that it would be revealed by the end of that month. Instead of good news, however, the company revealed that GTA 5 was going to miss its planned spring 2013 launch window and instead release on Sep. 17.

it means they are spending time cutting out content and such and saving the "best version for the ps4 version of the game that includes gta 4 for free, better graphics, and free dlc for the ps4 version.

That they had to Cut content because it wouldn't fit on 1 DVD9 Disc. Thanks to the 360.

I think people are reading too much into GTAV's next generation presence. I think it'll only be on the PS3 and 360 - at least, this year folks

I knew the spring release date was too good to be true. It was only last year when they released the first screenshots. It seemed way too soon for it to be released in spring. They even talked about having only finished creating a few missions in the GameInformer magazine. I won't even be surprised if they delay it until October.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that. Halo, GTA, God of War, new Metal Gear Solid, COD...just a few franchises that doesnt care who or when it releases against. Especially a new IP, console exclusive game.

I love the Last of Us but don't be foolish. Gta V is an absolute juggernaut that would lose little to no sales if it released the same day as tLoU.

We could have a bugged, incomplete version earlier, that everyone moans about - and tarnsishes the Rockstar name.

I think them making GTA V for next gen systems is possible, maybe they will also talk about Agent if the PS4 gets announced in 11 days.

But i don't mind the delay, their are still some good games to tie me over this year, i'm glad R* is trying to make this game great and can't wait till i see some gameplay.
