GameFront: "The trouble is that, stapled onto what is a good game at the core, are a number of mishandled features that don’t add anything and occasionally detract from the experience. Co-op is a take-it-or-leave-it gesture that is only sometimes really interesting (in some missions, Carver hallucinates things the player controlling Isaac can’t see at all), but crafting can get fun, and many of the missions and a lot of the lore are stellar reasons to play the game. It is a fun time, despite a few failings."
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.

...Lost Planet 3?
They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
So it basically lost what made it special? Yep, seems about right. This seems as if it's becoming a trend, RE6, DmC, and now DS3? Nice... I'll be here playing Super Nintendo games while waiting for gaming to become good again lol. (joking of course, this generation has had some gems, but this is getting ridiculous lately.)
I think that was what some people were worried about, them taking away the scariness of it. I'll play it soon and make my own judgements. I don't go off of just demo's. I've seen enough movie trailers to know they are aimed to get your attention and don't really tell the full story.
I'm playing it atm, it's very good.
As for DMC, it's better then the others imo, maybe because it's missing the Japanese feel. I don't really dig there style.
