"The PlayStation Vita was to become Sony’s next generation portable, and like many gamers as myself, I was amazed by the beautiful OLED screen, the console like quality in the games, and the functionality it possessed. I knew that I had to have one, day one, no exceptions. Unlike me, my girlfriend was not a gamer, yet she supported my passion for gaming, and was right alongside me when I lined up at midnight to make my purchase. She never understood the gaming culture, and the power it has on its consumers, still she supported me, and showed an interest in this device that I desired.
Like all relationships, we have our hard times, but we love each other for who we are, and what we enjoy. One thing about our relationship that is very different than most is the fact that she lives back in my hometown in Texas, and I attend the university of Oklahoma, about a 2 and a half hour drive apart. This distance apart has made things extremely difficult at times. The inability to simply drive down the street and pick her up, hold her after an argument, and surprise her with gifts is a struggle that most couples could not endure, yet our love for each other has held us together, along with the help from the PlayStation Vita."
Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.
This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Good read.
Woah woah wait...girlfriend?
sony has always stated that its not a race, its a marathon. but people expect Vita to be successful over night.
Most were guessing Vita will launch at $399-349 but it launched at $249 so after that people wanted another price drop. I don't think people who have never held a Vita can understand how great of a system it is. and games will come just takes time.
on one hand Vita is hated on for not having games yet wii-u also don't have games but that's fine? Vita launched with $25 plus game and cross buy feature is awesome.
why would sony cut the price and take a loss when they should rather sell 2-3 million less but make a profit. sony is in a lot of red so its smart to sell less but make money than sell more and loose more
Monster Hunter in Japan is all its gonna take for Vita to take off
the vita did for you what the xbox360 did for me 7 years ago and still counting
Most of the time when I use my Vita and my girl see's me playing she wants to play. I used Skype on the Vita to talk to her when she was out of town. I just use the Vita everyday no regrets buying this bad boy
