Actor Luke Goss Would Love To See A Death Race Video Game

While gamers know Paul Anderson for his work behind the camera of Sony Pictures’ Resident Evil franchise, the writer/director/producer also has turned a Death Race remake into a film franchise. He wrote and directed the first film and has written the last two. Universal Home Video has released the second straight-to-video sequel, Death Race: Inferno, on Blu-ray and DVD.

The franchise, which pays homage to Roger Corman’s original Death Race 2000, heads to the desert with Inferno. After launching with Jason Statham on the big screen, the series now features actor Luke Goss behind the wheel as Frankenstein. Goss, who also stars in the new Blu-ray Interview with a Hitman, took some time to talk about the new movie. A gamer, he explains why Death Race would make a great video game, in this exclusive interview.

wouldn't it just be pretty much Twisted Metal?

joeorc4100d ago

well more like SteveJackson's CarWar's

Car Wars is a vehicle combat simulation game developed by Steve Jackson Games. It was first published in 1980

which by the way was a inspiration for twisted Metal!

we already have death race, its called Mario Kart...Just that its a G rated game....

Any of you seen Death Race 1 or 2. DR2, despite being straight to DVD, was BETTER than DR1 IMO. It had Maggie from The Walking Dead.

Nitrowolf24100d ago

ha I'll give it a watch, straight to dvd kind of made me think low budget, like really low

Death Race 2 was better than Death Race 1.

I like Stathom but the first Death Race was really crappy. The second one had a better plot and pacing and actually wanted the audience to care about the characters.

Going to have to seriously disagree with you on that one logic. Part 2 was good and the quality was definitely there but part one was the best.

Anyone see part 3 yet?

tigertron4095d ago

I enjoy watching the DR series, although I have yet to watch Inferno. I'll be checking it out though. I was pleasantly surprised with DR2.

hazelamy4094d ago

the original remake, you know what i mean, was so much like a game anyway, i'm surprised there was no tie in game.

the automotive destruction, a selection of options for the car, like the tombstone, and various weapon options.
then there's the power ups on the track.

that screamed game to me.

and the movie was fun, no masterpiece, but fun.
sadly i've yet to see any of the sequels, but i want to.

Eternal Darkness was way ahead of its time especially for a Nintendo exclusive.

I would love to see a remake or sequel (multiplatform)

This Feature Makes Lethal Company Scarier Than Resident Evil

Games like Lethal Company end up scary because of their freeform nature, while Resident Evil's polish and storytelling ultimately make them rather tame in comparison. Agree or disagree?
