Hollywood director and writer Frank Darabont was working on a TV show called LA Noir, which aside from having a similar name to Rockstar's 2011 adventure was also set in Los Angeles circa 1947, the same year the game begins. Despite being based on a book by the same name, he says he's had to change the name after Rockstar "threatened to sue the sh*t out of me".
Ahmed from eXputer writes "Video game leaks have become a major cause of concern for Triple-A studios, as they're becoming increasingly malicious and dangerous."
Max Payne PS5 remakes are coming for the first two games from Remedy Entertainment, and we hope this Rockstar Games easter egg is kept in.
Will never forget these games on the PS2 and Xbox. Max Payne 3 was awesome, more so the arcade mode.
Can’t wait to replay these games with updated graphics.
Would also like a remastered Max Payne3.
There was a lot to love about Rockstar and Team Bondi's 2011 open world title.
One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit
I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.
I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.
Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.
The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.
A TV show, based on a book, that's similar to a game, that plays like a movie.
I wouldn't want to mess with the Rockstar lawyers. They'll send Carl Johnson to your house.
Yawn, seen a farcry film other day with han from European gigilo in it, did Ubisoft cry,no
Why does rockstar care? They're nothing but bullies, not to mention they forcefully closed they studio that made la noire after torturing them during development. Horrible business practices and yet people eat there games up like it was the only game in the world. I liked la noire and red dead redemption but I hate r* for the way they treat their employees.
it's no secret that R* treats their employees like shit ...
In the grand scheme of things it wouldve probably HELPED LA Noire more than HURT it ...
Im sure people would pick the game up after watching the TV series ... but having it sound like theyre connected when theyre not would bother me too I guess if i were R*.
hmm take two are the ones afraid of everything not rockstar....
