Kotaku: The answering machine goes off. It's Ellie, trying to get a hold of Isaac Clarke. He doesn't answer. He's standing in a disheveled apartment located on a lunar colony, but it's not your typical bachelor pad type mess. It's dark, it's grimy, it's gross—it looks as if this is a cave, a personal hell which he has retreated to perhaps. As you muse over this, sergeant John Carver—the character your co-op buddies will play—bursts into your apartment, demanding to know if in fact you are the famous Isaac Clarke.
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.
Dead Space
Dead Space 2

...Lost Planet 3?
They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
No...just no
They obviously havent played the first Dead Space
It's weird how people think Dead Space isn't scary anymore,I mean it never was scary in the first place.
Doom 3 is the only game that scared me in the past, even though it was cheap scares. Half Life 2 was a lot better though.
But co-op games can be really good as Killing Floor (awesome fun) and Left 4 Dead 1+2 have shown us. Online gaming is the future, and the games i mentioned are probably the most fun you can have in any online game.
Damn, looks like I have to get a friend...
The Co-Op sounds great. It sounds like they are going to do it like Dead Space Extraction, where you can play the Single Player mode and it is just the same as if you have a partner.
I thought that Co-Op mode was created nicely because I could have the option of actually being alone, or I could play with a buddy if they were there.
Nothing was forced on me, and nothing was taken away from either side of the experience. It sounds like the Co-op in DS3 is the same way
