If correct that is obviously very sad for the people involved. It's not the main teams but normally the extra staff that help when it comes to crunch time. Not a nice way to start a new year but i'm sure the upcoming launch of the new gen will lead to development growth. Fingers crossed.

F1 Developer Codemasters Suffers Round of Layoffs

IGN writes: "Veteran UK developer Codemasters has suffered a round of layoffs following the launch of racing games F1 23 and EA Sports WRC.

Codemasters owner EA confirmed the redundancies in a statement issued to IGN, although failed to disclose the number of staff affected."
