You are so quick to point out Wii U's sales performance being poor but Vita is doing worse but you seem optimistic about one and pessimistic on the other. Funny.

In Japan at least, the Vita isn't doing so well. Like I already said...

It has strong competition, not only from 3DS, which is a beast, but also from Sony's own PSP (like I already said).

In the short-term at least, I think Vita has a better chance of picking up in Japan with a few titles like Soul Sacrifice and Tales.

Wii U? Where is the upcoming software?

If being nearly 1 mill away from Vita's Lifetime sales in just 2 months is DOA, WTF is the Vita. and realistically a handheld should outsell a console because you need more than one for multiplayer

I've been wondering that myself. I'm sure we'll see a slight boost but I don't think we'll see a significant spike. There are bundles though and a lot of people have been crying out for a great JRPG ... I wonder how many of those people already own a PS3 though. It would be nice to see a spike leading up to the release of Sly Cooper.

damn, wii u dropped big time.. Cant blame em tho, theres no good exclusives for it & what little multiplats it has is much cheaper on the other consoles.. Lets see if they slash the price like they did 3DS when it was in trouble

too soon for price drop. I predict there won't be one before a new system is announced by MS or Sony, and depending on the price they announce, it might not drop then either.

Sales have always sucked in Japan for vita. But after those game releases in November, the PS+ coming to vita sales have picked up everywhere else worldwide. Plus you also have to factor in momentum going into the 2. Overall reception for for the PSP outside of piracy is pretty bad, after the PSP hacks which led to lack of developer support people lost all faith in any Sony gaming handheld. The Wii u was expected to be pretty big because it was coming off the success of the wii. Wii u sales are fine now but they could sell like the vita did for about a year. Vita sales sat at 2.2 million worldwide after it hit store back last February and it took em' almost an entire year to sell another million.same can happen to the wii u unless those games start rolling out. Plus unlike the Vita the wii U didn't really have a pause in launch between major markets like the vita did.

I'm no expert but those figures don't seem too bad for a weeks worth of sales. Sure, there is an massive drop from last week but it's not like there is any special occasion for those sales to rise.
