Seriously, apologisers, defend this terrible game now that you've seen the terrible ending. Of course many of you will say "I'm not going to watch it, I'm going to play the game and see it for myself" to which I'll simply say "if you really like throwing away $60, just throw it in my direction so it can be used on a real, good, game."

VileAndVicious4116d ago

I want to watch it...but I've already seen so much of the game. So I promised myself I wouldn't...

Admittedly I haven't seen it...but I kind of know the general idea of what happens. It doesn't sound "bad" just anti climatic. Mass effect 3 had a bad ending lol. But we shall see once I play it.

DragonKnight4116d ago

It's like the rest of the game, generic, cliche, ripped off. So, not bad in the ME3 sense where people were specifically promised that a certain style of ending wouldn't happen, bad in the sense that Ninja Theory is actually not the story tellers everyone thinks they are and bad in the sense that both NT and Capcom still think there has only ever been the one problem people had with DmC.

Oh look the devil may crybabies dont like the ending either, what a shocker, and yet the same people are STILL actively clicking on DmC articles.

Good job

Root4116d ago

I love how they made his hair white at the end....they've obviously done that to try and please people...what ever happened to standing your ground.

Such an obvious crappy ending...

DMC5 please Capcom

Godmars2904116d ago (Edited 4116d ago )

Why are you begging Capcom to do something they've shown twice over, by them going to NT who took such a radical - bland - departure from the series, that they can't do?

That's what I really don't get from the people complaining about this game. I mean I don't like it either, but by this and other examples Capcom have shown that they've been floundering creatively for years and more so this generation.

ThanatosDMC4115d ago

The saddest part of it all is the slow gameplay, horrible combos that's killing fake Vergil, and the fact that they're trying to copy the greatness DMC3's Dante vs Vergil fight.

Btw, those people that do not understand why we want a DMC5... it's because we want a continuation of DMC4's Dante's combat system. It was so fluid especially with on the fly style change.

ThanatosDMC4115d ago (Edited 4115d ago )

"It's the weekend before you enter Limbo City! We suggest you start brushing up on your skills, polishing Ebony and Ivory, and practising your best Demon Trigger face..."

^That was on the official facebook page.

Regardless of what I think of the game, feel bad that someone feels the need to ruin it in this way.

BlackWolf4116d ago

That's true. I personally don't like DmC, but hey!, there are people that have been waiting for this game with everything. Oh well, what's done is done...

animegamingnerd4116d ago

when i saw dante's hair i was dying of laughter

TheKindRoost4116d ago (Edited 4116d ago )

the scene right before this
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

using faux twitters #edgy also notice how tameen is using his own twit in the game.

DragonKnight4116d ago

That further cements the fact that DmC is Tameem's ego project. From the main character he designed to look as ugly as himself, to the fact that he wrote, directed, and cast the game all himself, to using his own twitter account in the game. The dude takes the terms self-centered, egocentric, and megalomaniacal to a whole new level.

Reverent4116d ago

He probably drives his car around town blasting "I'm sexy and I know it" from his speakers like every other narcissistic douche bag in the world.

Krimmson4115d ago (Edited 4115d ago )

That whole scene...

ovhaum4115d ago

"Tameen is using his own twit in the game"

That's good, So Hideki Kamiya can ask him: "Do you eat shit? Did you ever played the piece?"

-Gespenst-4116d ago

That was lame. I never thought I'd see such a gravely serious DmC game. Such generic, humourless, overacted BS.

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC5h ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Friendlygamer6h ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya3h ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde3h ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
