The Walking Dead and the Power of Choice

Telltale Games’ latest title, The Walking Dead, has garnered a lot of attention in the past year, and for good reason. The game offers an unflinchingly brutal take on the point-and-click adventure genre while capitalizing on a well-established intellectual property with poise and respect. More importantly, The Walking Dead delivers an experience that utilizes choice in a way that no other game has.

One of the best games this generation.

Awesome story and characters.

I actually felt connected to the characters and because of that the decisions I made mattered and were tough.

And I really felt the impact emotionally when certain characters died.

Truely an amazing experience.

Theres actually going to be a Season 2?

Telltale has more or less confirmed it, and the ending of the first season just about insinuates it.

I went into the game having played telltale's other games, some of which were good like back to the future some of which were utterly disappointing like Jurassic park.

Truth is telltale's games were always fun but lacked in my opinion that added element that stopped them from being a great game as opposed to just a good game.

The walking dead I can honestly say is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a game, telltale's engine sure has its flaws, but the writing, the direction, the gameplay everything about this game they nailed.

Cannot wait for season 2 its bound to be very impressive

*GAME ENDING SPOILERS...kind of* Not going to lie, the ending got me a little teary eyed. Not ashamed to admit it at all. Telltale did such an incredible job with the characters and making us the gamer feel connected to them. It's going to be tough to outdo themselves in season two, but I have nothing but faith that season two is going to be just as good if not better than season one.

I've never actually felt hopeless in a game before, but after Lee was bitten, I knew the game wasn't going to pull any punches and give me a deus ex machina ending.

1. Lack of highly exclusive games this generation on XB1, has been the super depressing video game story this gen.
2. Anthem is another,
3. WiiU,
4. XB1 will not work without Kinect lie,
5. XB1SAD Edition,
6. Crackdown 3,
7. Street Fighter V,
8. Sea of Thieves,
9. No Man Sky, (although apparently good now)

MGS4 should replace 3 a lot of characters both hero and villain die permanently in that game, also including a lot of people from MGS3.

TWD season 2 should also be replaced with season 1 nothing telltale has done has broken me since the final section with Lee and Clementine (“keep that hair short” ☹️)
