SA writes: We played A LOT of games in 2012 and have a lot to say about them. As the year wraps up we wanted to point out some of the ScrewAttack crew's favorites. Keep in mind that not every member of the crew helped put together this compilation of games so there will be some games that you'd expect to be included that aren't. It's not that we don't love those games, it's just that our experts that really got their hands dirty with them were not at the HQ to give their input. Got it? Good.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
The past few years have seen some excellent open-world titles on top of the existing classics. Here are some of the very best that you should play.
watching the video is better then going through 31 pages of gamingbolt.
Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?
There have been plenty of great villains in video games over the years. Now it's time for the VGU crew to name a few of their favorites.
Yeah ME3 and AC3 is not in there and they are easily the top 2 games of 2012
Gravity Rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
Black Mesa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
I still can't believe how much love FC3 is getting. I just finished the game on PC, and it was a fun game at times, but nowhere near goty material. So many performance issues, bugs, and just overall terrible design decisions. It just felt like a game with insane potential that was rushed out partially finished. Not sure how it got so many perfect scores across the board.....
I've really enjoyed Hitman: Absolution, but based on reviews for the game, you either love it or hate it. I'm playing Far Cry 3 and Tokyo Jungle now and those are both great games.
