I'm at a loss for words here, I thought PASBR would get way more support than this, especially considering that there weren't many other exclusive games for ps3 these holidays.
I know it is only US but when a 60 month old Uncharted 3 charts at 43, 37 spots higher than PASBR, that excuse flies out the window.
According to vgchartz, Xbox 360 software sales are less than 1 million behind those of the Wii. That's incredible considering the Wii has a 2 million lead on the Xbox 360 in the US.

Forza Horizon is the most bundled Xbox 360 exclusive LOL. People aren't buying the game, people are buying the Xbox 360 bundles that include the game and then Microsoft counts this as a sale of Forza Horizon. Come on bro you should know this.

Except that's Forza 3. . .as in 2009's racing game of the year and the highest rated racing game of the generation, not Forza Horizon. I doubt Microsoft is still bundling those.

Yes, but people buy those bundles 'because' they have Forza ... it cuts both ways. Forza is doing well, so how about we just acknowledge that? It's only the same as the Uncharted bundles or the Infamous bundles. I'm Sony all the way but be fair.

Come on people let's be real. Forza 3 has been bundled with the 360 every year since it's release which is why it's at nearly 6 million copies sold.

Look at Forza 1 1 million, Forza 2 4 million (again bundled), Forza 4 sales 1.5 million, and look at Horizon (great game by the way) not even 1 million yet.

You don't have inconsistent sales of that magnitude in games, and the reason why there's such a difference is because of Forza 2 & 3 being bundled.

Besides what does PSASBR sales have to do with anything. The game has sold well and the fact that it's in the top 10 PSN games since it's release goes to show it sold fairly well. And as with Forza it will be bundled with the PS3 to boost sales.

You never, ever quote these numbers. because VGchartz admitted that these are just estimates. There numbers are way off base until it comes time for the official number to come out. Then that when they adjust their numbers to make it seems as if they're estimates were accurate the entire time. When European analyst firms can't even track EU/PAL territories, I doubt some two-bit, ex-neogaffer hosted site can.

UC3 is being bundled with the new PS3 slim 250GB models here in the US. It's also bundled with the UC dual pack along with infamous in a separate SKU, although the dual pack may be counted differently. Could be that a lot of people picked those up and that accounts for the higher sales of the game. Those bundled games get added into sales.

So..."even if" if it's VGChartz and their numbers are accurate...which they aren't...there is a reason it's being outsold. I didn't even have to spin it..that's just the way it is, and always has been.

agree somewhat. not sure what Sony were thinking when they came up with this, from the moment it was announced I saw low sales written all over it. I don't think it sucked but was more "meh"

instead of funding this game they could've just put all that money into potentially buying back the rights for Crash Bandicoot / Spyro because that's what we want.

it's a pretty good game and it's very well executed! the online works since day 1 and no lag even playing between PS3 and Vita! and the fact that it comes with the Vita version for FREE is a huge bonus and me and my brother are having a blast playing team online while he is on PS3 and me on Vita!

it may not be selling too well as it's a niche type of game and fighting games aren't as big as they used to be anymore! aside from big name like SF, Tekken and very few others, no fighting games has done too well this gen! that's just fact but it doesn't derive anything from the game as personally, I think it's awesome!

It is on sale at best buy and gamestop this week for 39.99. Gamestop sale may end today though as they change it up on Wednesdays. Pretty good price since you also get the Vita version, and it's a fun game.

most PS3 owners do not buy the amazing exclusives on PlayStation for some reason. I work at a Best Buy as a cashier and the vast majority of PlayStation software I ring up is third party. Mostly it's been Borderlands 2 and Black Ops 2 lately.
I even told a customer that it was odd that most PlayStation owners just buy PS3's for Blu Ray and COD, because I had asked him if he's ever played an Uncharted game. He said no. I asked wether he'd played Resistance, Little Big Planet, inFamous, Heavy Rain, Twisted Metal, Star Hawk, Rachet and Clank, ect, and he said no to all of those. I didn't say anything in any rude manner, and I told him I thought Call of Duty is great too, but it seems odd that Sony puts so much effort in buying development studios and hardly any of them sell as well as third party games do.

That really comes down to marketing I think more than anything else. Sony isn't known to have great marketing, especially for their biggest games. Also a majority of gamers aren't as informed on what titles are out there like most of us would be, so they would obviously go more for what their friends are playing, or what they may see from commercials. It's really a shame, because they do produce some great titles that I'm sure those people would enjoy.

The Wii U plummeted after the holidays. Im not really surprised since its a brand new console so im pretty sure that once Nintendo releases some big franchises on it the sales will start to pick up again or a big price drop like what they did with the 3DS would do the trick as well.

Hardly. Two commercials isn't what I'd call "advertising."

I've seen a commercial for it about six times since launch... whereas I've seen commercials for games like Black Ops and Assassin's Creed dozens of times. Of course, I don't expect PS All Stars to get the same type of marketing push as those games, but it's not getting the sort of spotlight time that you'd expect out of a big seller.

Marketing is something Sony has struggled with all generation; only Uncharted seems to have escaped that fate.

Perhaps you're just being picky over his word choice. If so, then this should satisfy you:

PS All Stars doesn't get advertised the way it SHOULD.

I know the feeling...I think it's a pretty good game.
I understand the complaints about the campaign and the menu's but I think the gameplay is really fast paced and fun.

But it's their opinion I guess, I do get the feeling a lot of people bashing it have yet to play it though...

When you go to the actual site http://www.vgchartz.com/ they have the ps3 at 284k.

They have even changed the numbes for the 360. Vgchartz has no idea what there doing. Always seem confused about what the actual numbes for consoles are.

If you notice the have now lowered both ps3 and 360 numbes. They dropped the 360 numbers down to 505k and the ps3 numbers down to 257k. They have been known for over estimating for the 360 and under estimating for the PS3. I willing to bet that the PS3 is tied with 360 in consoles sold.

PSABR was 20$ cheaper on launch day if you purchased it digitally (PSN Store). I agree the game was somewhat of a flop but I mean I didn't expect it to sell well when there were no Final Fantasy characters or Crash/Spyro. Hopefully they can improve substantially on the second version for the PS4. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of SuperBot Entertainment. They are wonderful developers who care about their consumers (FREE DLC!!).
