sweettt I couldn't agree more. Except for DMC. :p

rbailey4126d ago

Glad you liked the list. Many will hate on Devil May Cry but truth is it will still sell well. The same people hated on Resident Evil 6 and looked how that turned out.. mixed reviews yet it sold really well

PopRocks3594126d ago

Metroid Other M received mostly positive reviews and that game tanked.

Hanso4126d ago

i really doubt DmC will sell well
i think life time sales will be at max 1.2 million
in the german amazon Top 100 List its in the 60 rank thats very bad because the game is about to come out soon

AsimLeonheart4126d ago (Edited 4126d ago )

Resident Evil sold well but it sold less than expected by CAPCOM. I hope you do know that CAPCOM had to lower their revenue projections because of lower than expected Resident Evil 6 sales. The game was being sold for a huge discount just a month after release. CAPCOM is still trying to patch it with their "free" patches until it becomes better. Therefore the people's hate and dislike had a huge impact on it. The same will happen to DmC and may be even worse because it will have to do without the support of millions of original DMC fans and a blockbuster brand name. DMC name is popular but it is not as big as to sell the game on the basis of brand name alone.

"Capcom’s popular Devil May Cry series receives a fresh reboot courtesy of indie game development studio Ninja Theory. DmC: Devil May Cry is expected to catapult the series to new heights by setting the game in an alternate reality with a younger Dante and smooth hack and slash gameplay mechanics. For diehard fans of the franchise, picking this game up on day one is an absolute no-brainer."

-"Diehard fans gotta pick this up, it's an absolute no brainer"

Chug the corporate cash.

Chug it hard.

I will be getting DmC. Don't care what the butthurt haters think. Now one should care if the game their playing is popular. I play games to have fun. Because that's what gamers did back then. Now all you see is trolling. Can imagine how the next gen will be like.

rbailey4126d ago

Agreed. Alot of people want to hate on the game because its a different developer but I still applaud them for taking the series in a new direction. This hatred is very similar to the hate Resident Evil 6 got because it was more of an action game instead of a survival horror game. People just don't like change I guess.

PopRocks3594126d ago

I won't provide the same song and dance attempting to explain (and apparently validate to you) my issues with DmC.

You're more than free to be excited. Let me be free to be cynical. It's not like me having next to no positive thoughts for the game has any bearing on your lives.

CrimsonDragon904126d ago

Yea the people who hate the new DmC think they have all the reasons to hate the game. Some do make good points to hate it. But like 90% of those reasons are just complains about nonsense. Really they hate the game because some character doesn't have white hair. I'm a big fan of the old series. But I'm given this new DmC a chance. Everything deserves a chance.

I guess this is the new generation. If a game is not popular then it is view as not good. That it is not worthy to exist. Same goes for new developers. If they change something the fans don't like. They are also not worthy of designing video games. Nowadays people are acting more inmature if a video game is not develop the way they want it.

You said the new DmC will sell good. I predict it to sell about 1.5 million. But then again the dmc series never sold higher then 2 million. The dmc series is not a well known Like capcoms other brands.

@CrimsoDragon90

Don't make it out like you know both sides of this situation when you keep going on about the "hair"

Your trying to make us look like crybabies whining over the smallest things to make us look small.

Don't play dumb, you know why were upset and you know that we have legit reasons to hate on the game because they are true.

Honestly what is it with people like you coming onto the comments and making it look like were going on about the hair still

Your only saying that because you want to defend the game, hell I bet your not even a DMC fan, like most people who defend it and call the people complaining.

SlowBurn4126d ago

change.....fine.
Garbage.....garbage.
easy to confuse the two, harder yet to separate them.

5 Years Later, Devil May Cry 5 Still Quenches My Hack-And-Slash Thirst Like No Other

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."

Where the Heck is Ni No Kuni 3, Mun?

Matt from We Game Daily writes: "Cross Worlds isn’t going away. It’s making a small fortune, particularly in Asian markets, so there’s no reason for Level-5 to pull the plug. That said, there’s no real reason why a full PC/console sequel can’t be developed alongside efforts to support Cross Worlds."

While Ni no Kuni 3 would be cool, if it was like the first game, where is Dark Cloud 3 and Rogue Galaxy 2?

phoenixwing94d ago

I thought the dev recently went mobile and Japan only. They shut down their American offices. So don't expect anything for consoles

shinoff218394d ago (Edited 94d ago )

I swear they just announced a few new games.

phoenixwing94d ago

I stand corrected then. Never heard about these games and also i just remember ni no kuni online being mobile only.

Michiel198993d ago

they said a loooooong time ago that Level 5 was working on a new installment but there has been no news since afaik. I just hope that they take more inspiration from 1 than 2, especially when it comes to the story.

thorstein93d ago

Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds is the mobile game you're thinking of.

It looks amazing but I don't like to play mobile games.

Yeah the sequel was okay but had nothing on the first game, especially the battle system.

The story just didn't have that charm and even the twist at the end of the game wasn't really anything cool like Wrath of the White Witch.

Also the fact there was like ZERO mention of Oliver or his adventures in the game, no references, nothing was such weird. It's set a hundred or so years after but still, I'd have expected to seen some throw backs. I think we just got like a temple with his statue in it or something.

goldwyncq93d ago

If you want more Oliver, just watch the movie.

shinoff218394d ago

Fking word. I've been hoping for this for quite some time.

melons93d ago

The premium games didn't sell amazingly, right?

shinoff218393d ago

Not to sure. They should of though. They were pretty good. I like both.

Michiel198993d ago

yeah, especially outside of japan. They should have released on pc at the same time as the ps3 version or a short time after.

Inverno93d ago

They should've worked with Ghibli to put out a proper movie. Should've also made a Pokemon-esque spin-off rather than make Yokai Watch. If they do make a third game they gotta work with Ghibli!
