The people behind the recent surprise announcement the resurrection of defunct Steampunk action game Edge of Twilight have released some new details on their plans for the game, as well as confirming to AusGamers that none of the project's original Australian developers are involved.
A new press release reveals that an iOS title "Edge of Twilight - Horizon" is currently awaiting App Store approval, and that an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title is confirmed, with Facebook comments revealing an expected late 2013 launch on the consoles.
After a prolonged development cycle, Edge of Twilight: Return to Glory ultimately falls short due to a lack of polish, not enough to write it off entirely. #edgeoftwilight #fuzzyeyes
Josh Griffiths writes: "It’s still amazing that a crowdfunding campaign sprouted out of nowhere for a game nearly a decade old. It was only in May 2016 that Edge of Twilight made a triumphant return on Indiegogo. Its developer, Fuzzyeyes, needed funding to finally bring the game out of developmental hell and release it into the world. Unfortunately for them, nobody seemed to care."
Indiegogo is one of the first crowdfudning sites, and the Angry Video Game Nerd seemed poised to make the site a dominant force. So what happened?
It's ludicrous to say Indiegogo is on a decline. You have to have had a rise first before you can have a fall.
Finally. Been waiting to hear about this for years now. Hope it doesn't suck.
