Dead Space 3 - Killing Issac Clarke

IGN:

Visceral Games clearly has it in for Isaac Clarke. Watch the poor guy die in horrible ways. A lot.

all of Dead Space death are simply amazing. Sometimes you just want test how many death animation they have put it in the game.

saladthieves4135d ago

I've literally spend some time in dead space 2 exploring that.

Belking4135d ago

Love the Dead Space series but EA really needs to give us a sequel to Dante's Inferno.

Enemy4135d ago

Dante's Inferno is the best God of War clone I've ever played.

Belking4135d ago (Edited 4135d ago )

Most games are clones of others. This just happens to be one of the better ones. GOW is good too but it's a bit milked now.

Enemy4135d ago

Define "milked" when things only continue to get almost impossibly bigger and better for the franchise. I've yet to see another game in this generation or the last that even comes close to what God of War 3 did.

The Poseidon fight, for example, is something I never thought I'd see this generation. Same for Cronos. The scale, dynamic lights, textures, facial expressions, music, and everything else going on in the background, all with a consistently smooth frame rate and ridiculously realistic blood effects, shouldn't even be possible on PS3. It's simply wizardry.

As long as we continue to see things improve and become more and more jaw-dropping, there is no milking to complain about. When things start to become more "been there done that" (like Dante's Inferno), doing what everyone else could do, then yeah, I'll agree with you.

Dante's Inferno got a lot of things right. It was fun, 60fps, pretty good storytelling, etc. But Dante as a character was depressingly generic.

Ugly graphics and linear as lines level design explains their 60fps achievement.

But I really enjoyed the game. Like I said, it's the best obvious God of War clone I've played.

Next time, actually DEVELOP Dante as a character and make the areas more exciting to explore. Also, blood. Dante's Inferno was barely bloody.

No argument Dante's Inferno is the best clone of God of War but I enjoyed Dante's Inferno story over God of War 3 immensely.

God of War 2 is still the best in the series.

I would LOVE a Dante's Inferno 2.

I disagree. I felt Dante's pain and suffering as his story unfolded and those that he sinned against while he ventured deeper into the circles of Hell trying to save Beatrice was very well told from a characters perspective.

Dante's Inferno is based off of the Poem "The Divine Comedy" published in 1555. Since Dante's Inferno is based off of a Poem from such a long time ago, it's difficult to give a character...*character* when you have no actual written scripts that define them.

I feel Visceral Games did an amazing job with Dante as a character considering what they had to work with.

Adexus4135d ago

I'd love a sequel to Dante's Inferno too, would much prefer for Visceral to make that instead of Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel which looks terrible.

Why Dead Space 3 Will Be the Hardest to Remake

If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.

Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.

myfathersbastard408d ago

Yeah I agree. Make a dead space 3, but have an original story/setting. They’ve proven they can do the game justice, and I think they could evolve 2 in a good direction, keeping a similar tone. I’d love s Dead Space 2 and 3 though. The remake was fantastic. Top tier remake, up there with RE2.

jznrpg408d ago

Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.

Ninver408d ago

It's the worst in the series.

Dead Space 3, A Ten Year Reunion

WTMG's Kyle Nicol:

"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?

Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
