Vita but this looks amazing!

UltraVegito4135d ago

If these arent bullshots than color me impressed.
Haven't tried the DAO series so i'll most likely pick this up

hay4134d ago (Edited 4134d ago )

DOA5 is the best DOA up to date. Polished, amazing gameplay mechanics that focus on skillful use of the character's arsenal thanks to easy and fast move input, loads of moves per character, visuals are amazing, texture resolution is simply jawdropping, details on some characters and costumes are pure beauty and in digital version there are pretty much no loadings.

DOA5+ looks pimpin.

blackbirdi4135d ago (Edited 4135d ago )

this shots are not from the vita the resolution of this pictures are 1248 X 702 it'S bullshots !! only the last two are from the vita version

Godchild10204135d ago

well wait and see i bought all fighting game on vita and i was a little bit dispointed about the gfx they are not on paire with the ps3 version ...maybe street fighter X tekken is very near to the ps3 version but it doesnt use the same shaders and even the bump maps are missing but it still pretty close even some stages are just 2d textures in the background not like the console version...but i still hope this comme on a pair ...

fabod864135d ago

Marvel vs Capcom 3 looks great on Vita... i can't see the difference with the PS3 version.

computeSci4135d ago

blackbirdi and for those who doubt the PS Vita graphical capabilities has not seen Virtua Tennis 4 World Tour for the PS Vita.

millzy1024135d ago

A Look at All of the Fighting Games Available on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "While fully-fledged fighting games on handhelds have achieved varying levels of success in the past, they weren’t really a thing until the PSP. Prior to this there would always be certain concessions to get them running on weaker hardware. Sony’s powerful portable console, however, allowed developers to experiment with new ways of delivering their titles that would sometimes be hugely successful (e.g. Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection), which in turn meant new games were forthcoming throughout the console’s life. This mantra continued onto the Vita, which received ports of a number of high-profile fighting games, from launch through to the present day.

The ever-expanding industry of eSports has somewhat put a damper on handheld fighting games, as the fanbase moves increasingly towards arcade sticks, perfect latency, and other measures that always ensure a fair fight. That doesn’t mean the Vita doesn’t have access to its fair share of fighting games, though – whether you like 3D arena brawlers, party-friendly multiplayer titles, or pixel-perfect technical 2D fighters, you’re well served by the selection that’s available here, especially when including backwards-compatible PSP & PS1 games."

10 Vita Games Which Showcased the Handheld's Technical Abilities

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "In spite of Switch now dominating this niche and mobile/tablet games inching ever closer to console quality, Sony's Vita has a number of titles which were not only impressive relative to the time they released but still remain gorgeous to look at even to this day. So I'll be looking at what was impressive about them (and what could have been improved) alongside a conclusion on how well the Vita did as a high-end handheld during its lifespan."

I once heard someone brag how the vita is as powerful as the ps3. That really made me laugh. A lot of games couldn't even run at the native 540p OR maintain 30 fps... It was basically a portable ps2.

conanlifts2465d ago (Edited 2465d ago )

Vita was 28gflops, ps2 6.2gflops. I think the comparison was that it could almost run ps3 games if the resolution was reduced. In reality probably not as it had 8x less gpu power. It was good for a handheld at the time though in terms of power.

armchairDev2464d ago

A nintendo 64 could almost run ps3 games if the resolution was reduced. To 160x90 pixels.

TWB2464d ago

To most people, PS Vita was probably to PS3 what PSP was to PS2.

On the smaller screen, you could say "ehh, kinda in the same ballpark"

SilentZeroX2464d ago (Edited 2464d ago )

On the vita's smaller screen, first party titles like Killzone: Mercenary and Uncharted: Golden Abyss can really fool
you into thinking that it is a ps3 game, it was more like a portable PS3, if only more dev use its power. A portable ps2 is more like the 3ds.

GameBoyColor2465d ago

only thing good about it was jrpg support and the og vita's oled screen. Other than that I felt I wasted my money on it.

Indigon2465d ago

If only Sony supported it with software and didn't put a ridiculous pricing tag on memory cards.

Kallisti2465d ago

Killzone: Mercenary looks awesome on the Vita. Too bad it didn't get a big exclusive game like a new GTA to reel buyers in, plus those propriety memory card prices are ridiculous even now.

FullmetalRoyale2465d ago

Right now I'm playing Trails, and while it's no technical showcase, being able to suspend the game at any time makes grinding much more manageable.
Some of my favorite vita games aren't impressive graphically. Persona, Danganronpa, Lone Survivor, Spelunky, Rogue Legacy(!!).
Still working thorough my backlog.

Some ok deals, but i love the fact that if you preorder, Galak-Z and Everbody's Gone to the Rapture are both 20% off and if you get them both together you get an extra 10% off on a total cart, plus each comes w/a free theme. The Rapture theme is dynamic and spectacularly amazing.

The summer sale is going on as well, last week i got Bastion (PS4) for under 4$, and this week i got Slender on PS4 for 4$ for my gf. The Old Blood was 9.99 last week and i got an awesome dynamic Transistor theme (PS4) for 1$.

Also, idk if it is anymore but Farcry 4 was 20$ brand new at best buy. Crazy.
