Capcom sends season's greetings from DmC: Devil May Cry's Dante

Polygon - Capcom's public relations team sent us a holiday card from none other than Dante himself, the brash protagonist of Ninja Theory's upcoming Devil May Cry reboot, DmC: Devil May Cry.

I'll respond promptly by quoting one of the horribly written cutscenes.

"F*CK YOU!"

crxss4139d ago

and they'll respond back with one of the horribly written cutscenes

"F*CK YOU!"

PopRocks3594139d ago

And I'll respond to THAT with a quote from those horribly written cutscenes.

"F*CK YOU!"

@spambot

Yeah working 7.62 hours a day, every single day of the month isn't "a few hours".

I would prefer it if they, at least, didn't insult our intelligence by putting zero effort into the logistics of it.

*sigh*

Anyway on the topic of Capcom's 'PC' message: I don't much care for cop outs like "Happy Holidays".

Just say "Merry Christmas", "Happy Hanukkah", ect.

I would never get offended, as a Christian, if somebody wished me a Happy Hanukkah.

Bleh....

We need to bombard Crapcom with original Dante Xmas cards!

Mounce4138d ago

I'm still waiting for this 'Seasons Greetings' from Capcom. I was told in this post that I'd be getting a seasons greetings from Dante...

So....WHERE IS IT, CAPCOM?! WE'RE WAITING!...

prototypeknuckles4139d ago

merry christmas from capcom, Ninja Theory, and DINO

sincerily F**K YOU!!!

PopRocks3594139d ago

It's an acronym for the protagonist of DmC.

DINO

Dante In Name Only.

Lord_Sloth4139d ago

Dino
Donte
Etnad

Sure there are others but these are most most common 3 you'll see.

vork774139d ago

the purple Dino from Flintstones?

Mounce4138d ago

I'm trying to picture Barney the purple dinosaur using dual pistols and shooting in rapid succession while twisting his body in the movement and flow of everything...

It's kinda weird.....

Snookies124139d ago

As stated above, I believe a nice little F- You would be in order Crapcom.

Root4139d ago

It couldn't just be a nice picture of something Xmas like or a collage of all their franchises....it HAD to be the game most of us despise

They are trying too hard

GSpartan7774139d ago (Edited 4139d ago )

In a way, they are succeeding with it as well. Ninja Theory already has the press on their side and have had to do absolutely nothing since they announced this game, because the press has pretty much been fighting all of their battles for them. Little things like this will keep earning them +1 points from journalist and will guarantee this game critical success.

But whatever. Merry Christmas to them. And good luck with DmC.

Root4138d ago (Edited 4138d ago )

I think the press being on their side has got something to do with money.

If it gets amazing scores after the horrible, broken demo which is actualy the final game then sorry but they've been paid off.

Capcom will do anythingn to make sure this game succeeds, they would of done the same to RE6 if they knew it was going to get bad scores.

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC7h ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Friendlygamer9h ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya6h ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde6h ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
