Valve brings the hammer down!

SilentNegotiator4135d ago

Oh NOES! 'Whining' gamers got something fixed again!!

Mounce4135d ago

I'm not sure if Silent should be getting the disagrees, isn't it technically true? Though unsure if it's sarcasm and an insult, orrrr, a Compliment that when Gamers band together, have a problem with something and complain for what is RIGHT. They get it done. Whining maybe just isn't the right word for it.....

Justifiable Rioting and Forum explosions. Michael Bay style Gamer-explosions.

Especially when it involves A Lot of Vodka and Big Rigs.

SilentNegotiator4135d ago

Not really sure how people took my comment. I'm mocking the "entitled gamers ZOMG!" club because supposedly "whining" gamers have gotten so much good done lately.

Added context to Hitman, removing a game that Steam apparently didn't bother to look before allowing on their service, getting developers to change obvious bad designs (InFamous, Fuse or whatever they're calling it these days, etc), etc.

It's made by the same guy who made Big Rigs. Basically his games are scams.

Win!!! I rather play open world l4d3 on source engine 2. War zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Reverent4135d ago (Edited 4135d ago )

Why not just Day Z?

Eh, Robert should have just stayed with Infinity Ward. This War Z game of his is looking more and more generic every time I see it.

Valve is even humble enough to take the blame for this themselves even though it isn't their fault at all. Hammerpoint needs to grow up.

PhantomT14124135d ago

Robert Bowling is in another studio if you were talking about him.

mynameisEvil4135d ago

@Reverent
That's not true at all. Part of this WAS Valve's fault. Valve plays every game that gets thrown at them to make sure that it's fit to be put onto their service. They put it on Steam, knowing that the information they'd posted was a bunch of crap. They did it as a way to see how much many they could make off of a controversial game and I'm fairly certain they made a decent amount of money considering how long the game actually ended up sitting there. :/

People really seem to forget that Valve is a business and, like most businesses, they made really rather shady moves because of that very important profit motive.

Yay! A win for gamers... i hope that company burns to the ground. FTC is checking up on the company too. Awesome.

If only people cared about the real world like they do about video game injustice; we would actually have society progress instead of degenerate.

Point proven, video games keep your focus on the unimportant things in life; atleast for some not all users of N4G. This isnt just games that have this problem, games are reflecting the systems that allows this type of thing to occur on a constant basis.

Open your eyes, there is more to life then video games.

ScubbaSteve4134d ago

That's the dumbest thing I've read in quite a while.

Thank you, Valve. I hate talking trash about a developer, but this is what they get for false advertisement and releasing an unfinished game.

Flavor4135d ago

These hammerpoint guys should have been put on everyone's sh*tlist after they blatantly tried to rip off day z's brand.

kesvalk4135d ago

wow, this guys seems like shit eh? since the start i just keep hearing bad things about this dev.

HammadTheBeast4135d ago

Well, from the start it's a copied game "DayZ", "WarZ", too similar, then devs being a-holes.

tubers4135d ago

I wonder why Gameloft's not getting hammered?

WeskerChildReborned4135d ago (Edited 4135d ago )

Wow the WarZ devs are dicks, i am not giving one cent, i mean to ban people who deserve their refunds for false advertising is just one of the most stupid thing a dev can do.

Hated Games That Actually Had Some Neat Gameplay Mechanics

Let's face it, there are some hated games out there that are just complete trash. The developers responsible for these games usually have little clue about game balancing and their poor decisions usually leave their game to die in the dust.

However, sometimes a developer will make an absolutely terrible game that still has some admirable game mechanics.
