Not really sure how people took my comment. I'm mocking the "entitled gamers ZOMG!" club because supposedly "whining" gamers have gotten so much good done lately.

Added context to Hitman, removing a game that Steam apparently didn't bother to look before allowing on their service, getting developers to change obvious bad designs (InFamous, Fuse or whatever they're calling it these days, etc), etc.

That's not true at all. Part of this WAS Valve's fault. Valve plays every game that gets thrown at them to make sure that it's fit to be put onto their service. They put it on Steam, knowing that the information they'd posted was a bunch of crap. They did it as a way to see how much many they could make off of a controversial game and I'm fairly certain they made a decent amount of money considering how long the game actually ended up sitting there. :/

People really seem to forget that Valve is a business and, like most businesses, they made really rather shady moves because of that very important profit motive.

thank you valve. I was considering a buy a couple days ago, but the amount of people complaining about the game really got me to see a warz gameplay video. It was horrible, wretched, unfinished. Anyone defending a game being sold as complete, when its not, and on top of that having micro-transactions is disgusting and pulls the gaming industry in a very dark path.. just when you think in disc locked content is bad.

I've heard of devs say they promise some feature, but didn't have time to include it in the game in the finished state, but never a developer blatantly lying about their game and banning players for no apparent reason. of course they are the same game but war inc was still released earlier on steam so the developers had 1 game on steam.

in the steam forums i read that if a developer has 1 game released on steam,valve will be more relaxed to release more of the games from the developer/studio/publisher.

im happy the game got shut down on steam. at least 10 of my friends had it on their wishlist lol

All they had to do was say the game wasn't finished and explain what features are currently in the game and what will be added. Though the prices should have been adjusted as they were way too high for an unfinished product IMO.

What they did went far beyond what is acceptable IMO and I'm glad Valve took action.

I was one of the lucky ones. I was able to get my beta purchase refunded through PP after a long battle. I was then banned for life and insulted. They were empty words, my account is still open after all their threats.
