It seems like From and Bamco actually pay attention to fan reaction

this says nothing. I want to know about gameplay, not about engine changes, photo realism and all this stuff. those things are subject to change when game enters into a more complete development status. but gameplay... that is something hard to change once you begin the project. so, give me gameplay. that's all I wanna know.

They only thing that worried me about this list is the "considering ayers to get more directly involved" if there is voice chat the game is ruined. The whole point of not talking to each other was to learn how to communicate by other means. It really added to both games and made the multiplayer really fun.

He might mean there are more sections in the game that improve upon gameplay with coop. Solving puzzles with friends or taking on bosses, this would work if they could implement a system were you can invite a friend. But this would greatly change the original model and I to believe summoning someone to help you don't know in the slightest is unique to the Souls series, sort of the same feeling as when you go through a game like Journey with a complete stranger.

I'm glad that they're going after photo-realism. That could be the best visual style for Dark Soul II.

The game isn't good though.

DS2 was fine. While there was a bit of recycling assets or ideas for bosses, it was a bigger more open Dark Souls. The Fume knight boss is one of the hardest bosses in the series until Sekiro and Elden Ring were released.

The problem with Dark Souls 2 was the same problem when a different director takes over for a sequel to an outstanding movie. It typically (there are exceptions) doesn’t have the feel and vision of the previous movie.

I wouldn’t say Dark Souls 2 is terrible. Had Dark Souls 1 never been a thing and we got this, I think it would have been praised more. The problem is it didn’t have the Miyazaki touch to it and felt pretty derivative. The soundtrack is a banger though.

And it will happen in the future when he doesn’t touch them as he is planning on.

I like DS 2, might even be my favorite of the 3. But it's a hard sell, there's so many obscure things you need to do to make it an enjoyable experience. So always find it hard to recommend, but it is worth the trouble.

All the bosses are only from Dark Souls. No Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, or Demon Souls
