I think it has something to do with ground Zeroes. Whether it leads up to the start of the game or something.

MariaHelFutura4154d ago (Edited 4154d ago )

Nothing about that looked current gen to me.

I think it`s Metal Gear Solid 5 and I think it`s a next-gen game that will launch w/ the PS4 like MGS2 did w/ the PS2. Sony knows how much PS3 fans loved MGS4 and Kojima obviously has NO intention of bringing MGS4 to the 360 (knowing there is a high, high demand for it).

Knight_Crawler4154d ago

You do realize that Konami owns MGS and Kojima works for Konami.

As much as Kojima loves Sony and the PS brand he does not have the last say on MGS 5 being multiplat or exclusive, the owners/shareholders decide that.

If you were the president of Konami would you

A. release MGS 5 on one platform and make a descent amount of money

or

B. Release it on as much platforms as possible and make GTA 4 numbers.

Sony would have to pay Konami allot of money to keep MGS5 exclusive and I do not see Sony doing that becuase they do not have that type of money to splurge.

Konami already confirmed that all games on the Fox Engine will be mutliplat and will all play and look the same.

MariaHelFutura4154d ago

@knight crawler

Everyone keeps saying this... but it doesn't answer the question of why MGS4 is not on the 360 currently. And it`s not because MGS4 isn't possible on the 360, it would just take alot of discs to do it. So why isn't there?

MetalArcade4154d ago

@ Maria that's true, but I think that's more to do with Konami being busy with other things than not wanting to do a multiplat release. It took them four years just to patch the trophies in MGS4!

torchic4154d ago

so how many more articles of this are we going to get?

Genki4154d ago

Good question. Mission accomplished, Kojima. Even though the interwebz figured him out, he got people talking.

SovereignSnaKe4154d ago (Edited 4154d ago )

-I just love Metal Gear Solid trailer breakdowns! They're so cryptic and fun, it's like working for Magic during WWII, I really think they took Ground Zero's and the Elements of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 (which could have been remade) and Combined the whole mess into what is going to be MGS:V! :D

-Does anyone think that Big Boss looks a little Skinny? Like maybe hes been in a coma?

He doesn't look as rough/gruff as he does in the Ground Zero's trailer.

SovereignSnaKe4154d ago

-Also, I think this was a missed opportunity for Solid Snake (granted Big Boss was comatose) ala Daryl Hanna in Kill Bill! ^_^

WeAreLegion4154d ago

I'm going to give negative feedback to EVERY website that does an article about this from now on. STOP.

WeAreLegion4152d ago

Because there are literally twenty-five articles about this on N4G right now.

Now we'll have to see how much the Master Collection will add to those numbers.

Number1TailzFan174d ago

Too bad it was a lazy release. They could've updated the visuals and everything. Missed opportunity.

Stanjara174d ago

...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.

Minute Man 721174d ago (Edited 174d ago )

Are they counting every game?

Edit: they did

Nyxus174d ago

Yes, these are total lifetime sales of the entire series.

Yea I don’t get why they’re allowing old reviews to be posted here. Someone did one on Soul Reaver and I got so excited thinking there was some stealth release of an HD Remaster, but no… it’s just someone who had a slow day posted an old review…

Cacabunga190d ago

I liked the game but for me it felt somehow like a military simulator rather than a proper MGS.. i got bored of that

micdagoat19190d ago

I do wish they would remaster all the soul reavers

micdagoat19190d ago

it was done this morning though

goldwyncq190d ago

The author was in a coma for 9 years and didn't get to play the game when it released.

Chocoburger190d ago

This review arrived just in time for launch. Perfect timing!

RupeeHoarder190d ago

Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.

YourMommySpoils190d ago

Looks better than Starfield, Cyberpunk and most recent games out. Still fine.

RupeeHoarder190d ago

It most certainly does not lol.

andy85190d ago

Have you player Cyberpunk since the first day? It's absolutely stunning now

One of the worst games ever made. Absolute overhyped trash!

Snowb420190d ago

The gameplay was great. It was the tacked on open world and repetitive missions that messed the game up.

Shane Kim190d ago

The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.

KyRo189d ago

The hospital section was the only bit that felt like a MGS game.

MGS4 was the ending for me. I totally ignore the fact 5 exists. It didn't need to exist tbh
