Does Grandpa Really Play PS3?

mediabistro.com: The “Family Day Out” TV spot is the centerpiece of PS3′s Festival of Fun campaign, meant to highlight the versatile gaming options available for the console. The bulk of the commercial takes place at a circus-like setting where kids, parents, and even grandparents, can enjoy the metaphorical pleasures of motion-control video games.

"I’m not suggesting that grandparents can’t play video games; I’m sure some do, it just seems strange that a whole family would sit around a couch fully invested in watching Gramps play"

Actually they are all playing with him (also an odd thing I just noticed but none of them actually look related).

Its a good ad for this time of year. I am glad they haven't gone the Christmas route (so many christmas ads) but it would have made more sense to Christmas it up

Johandevries4153d ago

Yeah... I believe those ads. I bet the whole family is watching in joy as grandpa occupies himself with such innocent, harmonious games as Spec Ops, Far Cry 3 and Max Payne 3.

No motion controls... Grandparents should all play Fallout 3.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos2h ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis18h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Coming Back for a New Generation

Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv721d 12h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
