At the Spike Video Game Awards 2012, a debut trailer was shown for a mysterious new game called ‘The Phantom Pain’. However, there seemed to be a series of strange coincidences and peculiarities, and all over the internet people were debating wether this was actually a new game, or a marketing stunt for something Hideo Kojima/Metal Gear related. This seems to be something Kojima could do, and below is a quick summary of the most conspicuous hints that point in the direction of this being Metal Gear related.
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
The VGA's and No, there was no such "announcement".
@ Sarcasm: Okay, fair enough. Maybe I used the wrong term.
I think this and GZ are one and the same game. It seems unlikely KojiPro would tease yet another new MGS title, only three months after GZ.
Depends... It seems like GZ plays out in because in one pic his young and in the other one an old man... Explain?
This is MGS5, has to be. Right at the end someone says V has come to or 5 has come also as in along with ground zeros. If so Kojima is a freaking BEAST.
There is way to many hints that point toward MGS5/Ground Zeros. It must be a MGS game.
