Playstation Vita users seem to be mostly satisfied with their devices, but the problem is there are not as many users as Sony had hoped for, which could result in a price cut as the only thing to save the system.
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
The memory cards need to be cheaper more than anything. The value provided by the hardware and software, including ps plus, is enough to justify the price. This of course is just my opinion. I'd like to read everyone else's opinion on this matter.
Definitely memory cards are a big problem. Sony should cut their price drastically or allow third party manufacturers to release their own.
Also some big Vita Exclusive hits are needed ASAP: Metal Gear, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy, God Of War, etc.
what is playstation omni again?
OMG cant those retarded journalist understand the PSVita is not like the cheap POS 3DS with its crap technology? the price cant be lowered just like that.
if sony is not doing what they want?, what does that mean? SONY IS SATISFIED!!
A lower price for the Vita would help. Obviously.
But the main thing Sony needs to do to move more Vitas is A) more regular retail releases and B) more regular digital releases.
Going weeks, or even months without giving the Vita anything on the PSN does nothing but discourage Sony's PS3 userbase, and going weeks or even months without putting any new games on store shelves doesn't do much to encourage casual consumers who see the same handful of games on the shelf every time they hazard the Vita section a glance.
