When the Nintendo Wii successfully established motion controls back in 2006, the industry did not expect the world outside of the hardcore market to react the way it did. This left both Sony and Microsoft to quickly come to terms with the emerging tech, leaving them scrambling to find a way to not only match the success of Nintendo’s gadget, but to also improve upon it. Now that the Wii has been succeeded by the Wii U, the Daily Reaction team rubs their crystal ball to see if motion will continue to be as influential next-gen.
Buzz! Games had a time when they took over the gaming world. They were amongst the most popular PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. It only makes sense for them to return on the PS5.
Omg this! My family play Knowledge is Power to fill the void as we wait for a new generation of Buzz.
Awesome fun at Christmas with the family or with your mates when the drinks are flowing.
Is it sad I never even heard of this or just don’t remember it at all ? Not the type of game I would play generally so I know nothing about it . I would check it out if it’s fun with the fam . I have owned every PS ever made including the Go that I gave to my son . Just don’t remember this
Yes buzz was the greatest party game back in the day.
And in today's world everyone has a potential buzzer in their pocket with the app integration similar to knowledge is power and no more tangled cables.
I would love another buzz game. it was family friendly, funny, entertaining, and easy to learn/play so supper accessible.
Popular when? It was not popular back then at all except outside the stares for some reason. It was gimmicky as f when everyone thought they were so clever making game-show like games. but with puppet people… yuck.
You wanna gameshow game? Smash TV. Done. Move on.
Air Conflicts: Secret Wars debuted in 2011, and later updated for modern consoles. However, it's the PlayStation 3 edition that stands out.
Joy Ride Turbo launched 10 years ago today. The first title was Xbox Kinect exclusive, yet this sequel failed to support the device at all.
Gosh I hope not.
Hopefully not...
I don't want to see a single, stupid gimmick in PS4/Nextbox packs when they are released. I do not want to pay for something in that box which I'm not going to use, why waste your time with that crap when you can try to make your console the best, the more powerful hardware on the market.
Probably, sadly
Okay, if you don't like em, well you don't like em. Personally I do...Resident Evil 4 Wii was great with motion. It made the game worth a 4th play. Zelda, Galaxy, Redsteel2. All great with Motion, but I do like the controller option for some games, as some do not do do very well with only the motion controls.
if it wasn't for motion controls I would have never played games like Metroid Prime, or any fps. I could never get the level of control I wanted using dual analog sticks. With that said motion controls made great games I would have otherwise ignored due to not enjoying the controls, accessible to me. Killzone 3 was one of my favorite games and I played it online faithfully until PSN went down, and the Resistance 3 campaign was one of the best single player fps campaigns in awhile. All thanks to the Move.
