EuroGamer: "While Trine 2 may not be a major AAA release worthy of blockbuster coverage, it is a quaint puzzle platformer which is as technically brilliant as it is absorbing to play. More importantly though, special attention has been paid to the Wii U version of the game."
Andrew N from Negative World says: "It's not exactly a secret that, outside of Nintendo published titles, the "AAA" retail scene on the Wii U is basically dead. There are still a few 3rd party titles coming, and hopefully we will get a few gems, but the reality is pretty grim. That's not to say you can't get a lot of great 3rd party titles on the Wii U, because you sure can! You just need to check out the eShop, which has been getting a surprisingly solid amount of great titles, generally from indie developers, during the period retail has floundered. There are many great 3rd party Wii U eShop games to choose from, and here are my top ten."
Agree with the top 2.
Both are far better than most of the "AAA" games last year.
The amazing Trine 2: Directors Cut is now on sale on the Nintendo Wii U eShop.
a game that was made better by the gamepad. the wii u needs more of that. Trine 2, wind waker HD, need for speed, and deus ex have all benefited from the gamepad
This is a great game for anyone who wants some combat marshmallows mixed in with their puzzle cereal. It's worth nubuying on any system but the off TV play and controls make this better than any regular version. Buy this game!
best on PS4 but still good on wii u none the less... 1080/60 on the PS4 is evident vs the 720/30 on wii u..
Glacier928: "The Wii U has been out for over half a year now and we’ve seen some truly strong indie titles hit the platform, with many more to come. One of the launch indie titles was Trine 2: Director’s Cut (which was the enhanced and ultimate version of Trine 2) that graced the console day one. I had the opportunity to speak with Julius Fondem, the Marketing Manager over at Frozenbyte, about their experience developing for the Wii U, as well as a bit of info about their new upcoming game, Splot."
it may be a good console but it is not powerful, it is on par with xbox 360 maybe. not all about specs but this article is way off.
I try to tell all these fanboys this all the time....WiiU will compete in graphics..
Can't really understand why they would have had problems on the PS3, but as no spu's or anything was used I guess it's not surprising.
It's a 2d platformer. and yet they fukup the ps3 version with blur, rofl.
Wii u had slight upgrades which they gave to the PC version, but left out of the 360 And PS3 for no reason, other then to add something for WII U owners.
This is without a doubt my favorite game on the U so far..damn it's gorgeous!
I've also heard the wii u is using nvidia's physics x for a more detailed physics simulation, so that should put the cpu worries out of the way if they use that.
I'm glad I got a Wii U for Xmas, the other consoles are a bit boring now.
Game looks amazing on Wii u. Using sony 55H729.
