10 Non-Playable Characters We Would Love To Play As

"It's the interactive elements of games that make them so special and it is player interaction that truly separates games from film, but interactivity is a finite resource. Very few games allow you full control of more than one character, and often spreading your play time between multiple characters give you fewer options with each subsequent avatar you inhabit."

im just gonna play the real Metal gear wich is ground zeroes ofc

NukaCola4161d ago

Really want a Metal Gear featuring just Ocelot.

gintoki7774160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

Actually in the Metal Gear Solid VR missions for Playstation 1. You could play as Gray fox through 1 or a couple levels.

(Nvm I read the article they mentioned this)

ProjectVulcan4160d ago

These were really fun levels too. That makes it all the more reason to want to expand his story because it is still rather a mystery how he found his way onto Shadow Moses.

He deserves a game of his own and it could even finish with his mission on shadow moses, fighting snake, and then helping him defeat Rex before ending.

How cool would it be to actually fight Snake as Fox?

Ahh well. Never happen.

I really, REALLY HATE articles that make you click through each slide instead of having a whole list, or at least half per page.

DragonKnight4160d ago

Believe it or not, a lot of writers are forced into doing those slides but some sites just go too far with them.

DragonKnight4160d ago

Here's the list.

1. Alyx Vance - Half-Life 2
2. Garrus Vakarian - Mass Effect Series
3. The Merchant - Resident Evil 4
4. Gray Fox - Metal Gear Solid
5. Shodan - System Shock Series
6. Tom Nook - Animal Crossing
7. Tingle - Zelda Series
8. Bastilla - Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
9. Sgt. Johnson - Halo 3
10. Lan Di- Shenmue Series.

I personally think this list, overall, is fail. I also find its lack of Jecht disturbing.

LOL the Merchant from RE4??? Just wow.

Wigriff4160d ago

I hated that fucking merchant. Here you are, fighting your way up some big-ass castle tower, struggling for your life. You make it to the top, you're all out of breath, and suddenly you hear "Welcome, stranger."

It's like, "Dude! Where the fuck were you back there? Mr. I have tons-of-guns." :P

Yeah... fuck that guy.

Double_O_Revan4160d ago

@Wigriff
eFffing lol! I liked the Merchant, I always had that mentality when playing. "where were you 10 mins ago when I needed a rocket launcher for the Gigante?!"

Wigriff4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

azshorty:

The Merchant's whole demeanor was awesome, but yeah, he was a douche like that. That is probably why the developers gave the option of killing him. They knew that people would want to shoot that bastard at some point.

"I've got some lovely things on sale, stran–" *POW*

Something about recreating old school graphics in an era of HD high poly photo realism just hits a spot. I'm not nostalgic cause I mostly played GameCube and GB/A, but it's a visual style that gets over looked even by indies.
