We’ve all been in the same fighting game community haven’t we? So were all aware of the many fighting games that have been coming to us as of late: Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Skullgirls, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Dead or Alive 5 and of course Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition but with those games where does Smash Bros. fit into you ask? Some gamers can debate forever on the very subject, some believe it’s not a real fighting game for a reason for the lack of combos or hit stun decay after moves. I think and believe Smash to be a very vital part of the community and its own fanbase and Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada agrees with me and considers Smash to be a contender for the Fighting Game Community. Something else Harada and i agree on is the tastes of certain gamers and the communities for the games they are passionate about since one group doesn’t think Smash is something they play doesn’t mean that the whole series has to change, some gamers prefer A,B,C combo systems rather than Super Street Fighter’s engine which has a higher learning curve a quote regarding Harada and Smash let’s us know where he stands on the subject:
“It seems that the motivation behind the players in those core groups is not as different as I initially thought. I came to this conclusion after seeing them in tournaments, and also after playing Smash Bros. more myself and also looking at YouTube videos — I began to see a lot of similarities. So I think if each community surrounding Tekken, Street Fighter and Smash Bros. could look more open-minded at each other’s games, you might find that there’s a lot more similarities and a lot that you’d enjoy about the game, and that can be said for all sides.”
Masahrio Sakurai creator of Smash is still very much involved with the development with Namco Bandai in making the next game and who knows who will make an appearance in the final build and what changes they can bring but with Bandai in the room we can all rest assured that a great game is coming to us. Sakurai and Harada do the fusion dance and bring us something like… Sakurada!
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
Hanzla from eXputer inquires: "If Xbox can care about preserving its games and legacy, what exactly is wrong with Nintendo, trying to kill game preservation single-handedly?"
Ahh yes the good old game preservation of saving all your games to a removable hhd on the Xbox 360, taking it round your mates house, setting up multiple tvs to
Be met with “save data corrupted, please re download”
Or how about removing 360 games
From the store
, download them now or else, and, better hope to god that save data doesn’t corrupt, or it’s lost for ever
Nice one ☝️
This is just a scammy PR move to distract from the fact they are going digital only and trying to push streaming and subscriptions only.
No gaming company has pushed harder to remove ownership than Microsoft.
Without discs there is no preservation, preservation can't be done by the rights holders it can only be done by the consumers, anything else is a lie.
Nobody wants this. Sales or the lack of it in the case of XBOX is very telling. I wonder how the adorably all digital series X will fare. Adorably dismal perhaps?
Only time will tell, but for from someone like me suspecting that Xbox is trying to gracefully exit the console market, that "forward compatibility" team is trying to get Xbox games playing on Windows PCs. I mean, it's nice that they're not planning on exiting with a "enjoy your games while the hardware still works" message, so that's nice. They still have a brand to protect via Microsoft so probably feel obligated to have a better exit strategy.
Danish from eXputer: "Nintendo has historically gone against player-made content and emulation of its games. This has done much to harm the company's image."
They need to stop announcing these mods and fan remakes until they're finished. Finish it, upload it, and then if Nintendo dmca's it tough shit. Once it's online, people can share it around, even if the original download gets taken down.
This is all coming from the mouth of short-sighted fandom and grifting madness.
No.... it wont. There is a clear defined reason why they don't. This is nothing new. Make your own shi7 from your own original ideas especially if you are trying to capitalize of it it. Duh.
Yeah, hire people that have zero respect or understanding for an established process. Wow. Yep. Totally makes sense.
Perhaps make the summary a little shorter, and actually a summary instead of the entire article haha. I must say I haven't seen that before, quite humorous.
If they make it a legitimately good fighter, I'll take it seriously. Until then, it's just a fun little weekend party with friends. That's why I enjoy All-Stars so much. It's something that fighting veterans can really sink time into.
I consider SSB more of a modern day Beat 'em up than a fighting game.
