Bethesda: Dishonored sales 'exceeding expectations'

Bethesda has told Destructoid that Dishonored, the critically acclaimed stealth-action title released last month, is performing above sales expectations, and the publisher is definitely pleased. While it declined to reveal actual figures, the company can confirm we've the makings of a continuing series.

One of the most disappointing games I've ever played. So many good ideas that just never came together for me. I can see why people like it, but it just felt like it could have been better than the final product.

Elaborate. For someone who liked the ideas, I find it hard to see how that could reach disappointment. There is 20 ways to approach any situation in that game and the game is literally about exploring those ideas. The only thing I didn't like about the game was how easy it was after getting the "stop time" power.

I felt the ideas, as they were, worked really well, but actually combining them and using them for any sort of exploration or combat felt really sticky and almost like a chore to play. It's a hard feeling to explain, but I think the implimentation was just not as good as the ideas behind it.

2. Skyrim FAR exceeded Bethesda's expectations aswell.

I played the game on the hardest level as a total stealth character with no kills. The game was sooooo easy that i just quit playing it after 4 or 5 missions. The AI is so horrible at detecting me. Blinking just made getting past the AI tooooooooo easy. Blinking is about the only power i used even though I most most of the powers to full level. I think it would of been cool with a cover system where you can peek around instead of this see through walls thing with made things waaaay to easy. I stoped using it. I guess i would of like deeper rpg elements. I thought about playing the game using no powers to make it harder...but the game demands using blinking at least to complete missions....:(

Love it for being normal game , it reminds me why i play games , i reminds me of ps2 times , that's why i voted for it in vga instead of assassin creed 3 , only graphics were bad but i never care about graphics when the gameplay is fun ...

hope they improve the gameplay , make it challenging instead of easy , at least make a mode for hardcore gamers that seek for challenge , i don't even want trophies for the hardest difficulty , just make it hard and improve the graphics ...

well because is a good game with a great story and mechanics and they dedicated the entire time to it, not like some others games released in a hury and with the focus on multiplayer.
