Part 2 of Gammasquad's Wii U hardware reviews is here...
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
Hanzla from eXputer inquires: "If Xbox can care about preserving its games and legacy, what exactly is wrong with Nintendo, trying to kill game preservation single-handedly?"
Ahh yes the good old game preservation of saving all your games to a removable hhd on the Xbox 360, taking it round your mates house, setting up multiple tvs to
Be met with “save data corrupted, please re download”
Or how about removing 360 games
From the store
, download them now or else, and, better hope to god that save data doesn’t corrupt, or it’s lost for ever
Nice one ☝️
This is just a scammy PR move to distract from the fact they are going digital only and trying to push streaming and subscriptions only.
No gaming company has pushed harder to remove ownership than Microsoft.
Without discs there is no preservation, preservation can't be done by the rights holders it can only be done by the consumers, anything else is a lie.
Nobody wants this. Sales or the lack of it in the case of XBOX is very telling. I wonder how the adorably all digital series X will fare. Adorably dismal perhaps?
Only time will tell, but for from someone like me suspecting that Xbox is trying to gracefully exit the console market, that "forward compatibility" team is trying to get Xbox games playing on Windows PCs. I mean, it's nice that they're not planning on exiting with a "enjoy your games while the hardware still works" message, so that's nice. They still have a brand to protect via Microsoft so probably feel obligated to have a better exit strategy.
Danish from eXputer: "Nintendo has historically gone against player-made content and emulation of its games. This has done much to harm the company's image."
They need to stop announcing these mods and fan remakes until they're finished. Finish it, upload it, and then if Nintendo dmca's it tough shit. Once it's online, people can share it around, even if the original download gets taken down.
This is all coming from the mouth of short-sighted fandom and grifting madness.
No.... it wont. There is a clear defined reason why they don't. This is nothing new. Make your own shi7 from your own original ideas especially if you are trying to capitalize of it it. Duh.
Yeah, hire people that have zero respect or understanding for an established process. Wow. Yep. Totally makes sense.
i completely agree and i say that in alot of my comments for a few months now and i really believe it..the wiiu is the best nintendo system since the snes and i expect great things and great games on it..
Can anyone who has a Wii U advise if the weather and news 'channels' are still present? My wife loves them both and it would appear to her as a loss if they were not there.
Anyone?
I prefer the N64 to the Wii U mostly for nostalgia reasons and the innovation it brought. It blew my mind the first time I played Super Mario 64. Being able to play in a 3D world was just incredible. The N64 also introduced my favorite game of all time, Ocarina of Time. I have many good memories with the N64. But I'm definitely enjoying my time with the Wii U so far. It's a great console.
It has the potential to be. All it needs is a Street Fighter 2 and a Donkey Kong Country moment.
Iwata needs to leave Nintendo. since his position with the company...Nintendo is nothing what it use to be. Cube, wii...now wii U. This guy isn't serious about profound gaming experiences, but more casual and kiddy trash. There is little variety and not enough new ip's. I don't know how they get buy on shovelware and rehashes. I guess with all the kids/old people and non gamers one can see the attraction and over simplicity.
